[ the pendergast manor is a sprawling sight, impressive even to those who live in the world's most ridiculously sized castle. the whole place has a sort of country club air, and white gloved butlers escort the little troupe of knights through the halls, past expensive paintings and all the other old money trappings. ]

[ he nods, frowning ] This way. [ they cut down to the right, and as they go he raises a hand, palm glowing slightly as he waves it back and forth. ]

[She follows after him, keeping her ears and eyes peeled as best she can, though she seems to be more distracted by his glowing hand because OMG MAGIC (spot 11, listen 11)]

[ faith notices a door slightly ajar - and it isn't hard to see a foot sticking out of it. ] Oh no... [ she shoves the door open, and there lies the body of the woman thoster had earlier seen excuse herself to go to the bathroom. ]

[bluffcheck]

[Thoster's just s step behind and peeks in just after her.]

Is she breathing? [He glances behind him, not sure if he should gather the others back just yet.]

I'm not a doctor but... I think she's dead. [ she rolls her over enough that they can both make out the sight of two very noticeable puncture wounds. guess where. ] Ohhhh boy.

[Thoster's eyebrows go waaaay up.]

We should get the others.

[ behind phineas and lissa, they hear a silky male voice say, with some amusement: "Who said you were alone?"

meanwhile faith shoots a concerned look back down the hall past thoster ] Should we just leave her here? If she's going to turn...

Perhaps you're right. [He digs in his pocket for his phone. He's... still sort of bad at using it, but desperate times. Also he's calling Lissa because... well, he just found out she's a vampire on the plane ride over, so that seems like a good call. While it rings, he nods to Faith.]

Ring up Solace, would you, lass? If we can get everyone back here, we can see what's to be done about this.

[ lissa's hand jerks out to grab phineas' arm, jade eyes wide and worried. she picks up on the first ring and doesn't even wait for thoster to use words just sort of blurts out: ] He's invisible!

[ solace and sydney have found an opened window in the hallway, when his phone rings. he picks it up and listens grimly for a moment as faith explains the situation. ]

[Thoster is already confused. He stares at the phone.]

Lissa? Lissa I need you to come this way. Faith and I have found something.

[ deep breaths, lis. ] Okay. But Phineas and I. I. [ DEEP BREATHS, LISSA. ] I think whoever is stalking her is invisible. And I don't know if he's still here.

Don't panic, lass, but I think you've got the sort of company you weren't expecting. She's been bit. By a vampire.
