The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Wish I could've gone with you. [He probably offered. Or thought about it but didn't know if that was over stepping. He hasn't dealt with a death in his own family. Not anything close like a parent.]

Me too. But. [ but they needed him here, she wanted him with his own family, they both had jobs to do. ella knew a little about duty (it was duty they kept her so long in ireland after her mother died, it was duty that brought her back after her father died) and she knew andrew had needed to stay.

You've got me always. [He corrects, his tone dropped so that only she can hear and a little gruff with emotion.] Doesn't matter if I'm not actually there. You know you've got me.

Aren't most things with me awkward though? [This guy and his jokes. No but really, that's true.]

Yeah, but it's charming. [ she steps back a little so he can straighten up, wiping her face with the back of her hand. ] And apparently it's how you get all the ladies.

Oh yeah. Just knee deep in it now. [He laughs and rolls his eyes. It doesn't sound right at all coming from him.]

They let me run equipment orientation while you were gone [He didn't tell her about it because he was worried about screwing it up and then he didn't want to flail too much about good things.]

Oh and I missed it?! [ SUCH DISAPPOINT. MUCH SAD BEAR. ] I bet you were brilliant. Or you tripped and fell on a laser, I can't decide.
