I'm not trying to impress you. [ she scoffs softly as she carefully selects a handful of pills. ] I take an eight hour flight twice a month. I'm trying to get used to it. You're just lucky I haven't thrown up on anyone since my first flight to Chicago. [ ahh memories. she pops the pills in her mouth and swallows them all dry. freak of nature. ] Every time I don't do something because I get anxious, it feels like letting them win.

I told you I'm a good liar, didn't I? [ she manages a smile as she tucks the pills away again. she's grateful for the validation that she's doing okay. ]

[he purses his lips and looks extremely put upon, but ... at least it's not flat-out no again.] Why?

There's a woman at the castle with a love curse no one has been able to figure out how to break. And even if we can break it... she's going to remember all the dumb, awful shit she did. I don't get to live without those memories, but she shouldn't have to live with them. Wynn... said we can't change her memory. But just in case, if that's her choice... I still need to know its possible. [ her shoes are very interesting. she's going to focus on them. super cute. ]

Of course it's possible. There's no one at the castle that can do that? Or are you asking for Rebecca because it's a going behind Wynn's back thing.

Both. [ it's honesty hour. ] I don't trust magic. I get what you guys do, it makes sense to me and I know how it works. Magic fucked her, why would I trust magic to fix her? [ science > magic tbh. ]

If it ever comes to that, ask around the castle first. There are psions there too, I bet you could find somebody. If not, then ... and only then ... maybe. Maybe I'll ask her.

She might not even remember me, I don't know. [he chews the inside of his cheek while thinking about that. he doesn't want that to be the case, but he thinks it would be better for her if it were. because HE IS A GIANT FUCKING MORON.]

Not that I think it would be better or worse for her and for you, but... in this case... [ her eyes flick up. ] I don't want you to have to deal with that and I don't want to put her in danger, that's why I asked if I could call. [yeah his will save was steamrolled. he's not trying to argue with her, just ... get her to understand what his thought process is.] So... some random girl in England calls her and asks her to come over and fuck up some other girl's memory, and then what? You think she'd be like "okay, I'll be right over"?

Well, I wouldn't put it like that exactly. And I'd probably fly to New York to talk to her in person. [ her shoulders sag slightly, because he's not wrong and she's not dumb enough to think it will be easy to convince a stranger to help. it was almost fucking impossible to get amara to even think about helping herself. BUT SHE HAS TO TRY OKAY. she is hideously invested in this sorceress who probably doesn't even give a shit about her. ]
