Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

[ oh, hugs. it's not unexpected, considering it's myri, but she startles slightly because she had been a little lost in thought so it takes a second for her arms to squeeze myri back. ]

Hey. I love you too.

[witchwoman]

[She pulls back. Eventually. But keeps one hand on Vi's arm.]

I think we need cake. [Because she knows you, girl.] And maybe a spot to talk alone? I'm a little overwhelmed by the crowd. [Which is true but she thinks that Vi might need it too.]

There's a bench, over there. [ she points to the bench she found with luthir. ] We can sit there, if you want.

[witchwoman]

[Nodding, Myri heads that way, breathing easier as they go. Crowds are overwhelming and hard to handle for extensive periods. She imagines that will fade.]

You don't seem... [wis 19] What's wrong, Vi?

Nothing new. Happiness comes with the inescapable reminder that everything is awful most of the time. [ she shrugs, pushing her hair back from her face and pulling the flowers from her curls. when she sits, she pulls up her legs to sit criss-cross and rest her elbows on her knees, dropping her chin into her hands. ] I'm trying so hard to be happy, because I know I should be, but I'm just... not.

[witchwoman]

There's no "should." Not for us. There are good moments but the circumstances are so different for us now. [Feel your feelings, basically.]

You don't have to pretend with me. You know that right?

[graveflowers]

I know. But I need to pretend for me. Otherwise I would just never leave bed. It's my wedding. I want to be happy, even if I have to fake it.

[witchwoman]

Okay. [Girl, it's your wedding day. You could tell myri you needed a penguin to tap dance to the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang soundtrack and she would try to make it happen.] So we'll pretend. We're not out here because we're sad. We're out here because we need to talk about something that no one else should hear about. Like... Des' date? [Sorry, Des. You are gossip fodder always.] Did you talk to him?

[graveflowers]

[ rafael is vi's penguin. make it happen. she smiles a little. ] Zarad. He's really pretty, I'm emotionally compromised by his face.

[witchwoman]

I like him. The way he talks about Des... You can see how much he cares about him.

[She pauses and then adds with a little secret smile.]

And yes- he's very pretty.

Finnick is prettier. [ sorry des. vi knows what's up. but she is so grateful for this change of subject that she can latch on to. ] But there's something familiar about him? Like I've meet him before, but I haven't. I didn't even meet him at the club. [ she was too busy missing myri. :( ]

[witchwoman]

[Bringing up Finnick's pretty prowess makes Myri duck her head, cheeks flushing. Girl still has it had, even through everything.]

He was really easy to talk to. But I didn't really get the feeling like I knew him. He just... seems to fit. If that makes sense.

Yeah. He was made for our clusterfuck. And he makes Des happy, which is a monumental feat in and of itself, so he's diamonds in my book. I just wish I knew what that feeling was.

[witchwoman]

I'm guessing you asked him?

[graveflowers]

Well, I told him he felt familiar, but you know me, I'm a dumbass. I didn't think to ask him what he is until... like, now.

[witchwoman]

It might seem a bit strange if we tried to snatch him up for questioning now, hm? [They've done weirder. Or Vi has and Myri has stood near it.]

[graveflowers]

...oh, you're clever. [ she unfolds and turns around on the bench. where is zarad...? oh right there! (spot 34) she thinks she sees him. so.... she's just going to yell for him. this is what you set yourself up for, myri. ] ZARAD!!

[witchwoman]

[never change, vi. myri may be dissolving into laughter over here.]

[fornicator]

[ he turns around in his seat to look at them across the way, raising an eyebrow ]

[ INSISTANT COME HERE MOTIONS ARE A GO. RIGHT NOW. ] Your cute butt, get it over here!

[fornicator]

[ his chair scrapes back and he takes his time wandering over. ] Can I help you, ladies?

[graveflowers]

What are you? [ yeah, she's not even subtle. ] Besides, ridiculously pretty. God, just so pretty.

[witchwoman]

What she means is- There just seems to be... more about you. [He already told her about how he and Des went 'way back' so...] We were curious.

[fornicator]

What, it hasn't occurred to you yet? [ he smiles a bit, and then glances over his shoulder towards wherever des is. ] If not, I shouldn't say anything.

Des asked me not to.

What, why! It's not like we are going to make fun of him. [ she motions between her and myri because they are the best obviously and they only say nice things. ] It's not like you're a cupid.
