Talk about a soiree.  The team has walked into what is clearly legitimately a Gatsby party, but with an Indian flair.  Even upon approach, it's easy to see that this place is without parallel:  people are driving cars right up on the lawn of the fabulous mansion, which looks half-modern and half like a palace out of a Bollywood film.  Men and women in bright colors, fabrics, beads and silks move inside en masse, and as the doors are opened before them, they can see the grandness of the interior, with its diamond garland, draped fabrics, giant jeweled elephant statues, indoor trees that arch to the ceilings, twirling dancers, and a tall dramatic staircase leading up to a balcony above where the host himself reclines surrounded by admirers and friends, smoking a cigar.  

Liquor flows freely, and food is carried around on golden trays through the crowds.  It's an overwhelming buffet for the senses, a dizzying spectacle of color, laughter, dancing, and entertainment.

[ The Doctor has stood quiet for a moment, but really, that's more than enough to make him speak up. He's seen a lot of things, but well, that one's new. ]

I'm sorry, I thought you said through the internet.

[He holds up his hands because he's not a technical person at all.]

Wynn says he knows a technomage who knows who a spell which can ... transport us through the internet.

[HE DOESN'T KNOW, OKAY. HE'S JUST TELLING YOU WHAT WYNN TOLD HIM.]

Does anyone actually need to go back to the hotel for their gear or can we just send Andie back to grab a laptop?

I need my sword.

[He also wouldn't mind changing his clothes, but that's irrelevant, the sword is the important thing.]

And Wynn said the computer needed an internet connection. Can we get that here?

[His technology fail is showing.]

What sort of tricked out party mansion worth its salt isn't gonna have wifi? [snort.] But yeah, fine, I guess we can head back, then.

I could get the sword too! I can carry extra stuff.

Right. [And Andie vanishes because making haste is her specialty so BRB RUNNING THROUGH NEW DELHI WITH A SWORD AND A LAPTOP.

Then she reappears and hands the stuff to David.] Any other requests? Or are we ready to go?

[ He gives a little grin towards Andie. Oh he really quite likes you. He has his sonic in his hand again, and he tosses it once. ]

I can boost the wifi signal. Should give us a little extra juice.

[mmm you're so hot when you're useful, doctor. and you too, andie. kind of. he looks over at her and asks with idle curiosity] Don't you ever get tired? Watching you makes me tired.

Course I get tired! ...but mostly just hungry. [She also grabbed a sandwich while she was getting the other stuff. She's eating it now.]

[ thor looks at the laptop that andie brought ] This is what will transport us?

[he looks up and keeps texting at the same time bcuz he's actually chris traeger:] Yep. The wonders of modern technology.

[He really hopes this works. He takes the laptop and sword, handing the computer off to the Doctor and strapping the broadsword over his back easily. Once it's on he looks slightly more comfortable but only slightly. That thing is like his safety blanket, but he's still going to be traveling through the internet.

There are so many doubts about this plan but Wynn said it would be safe.]

Okay, he said we had to boot up the instant messaging program, and link hands in a circle around the computer once the spell is sent.

[Seems ... easy enough, right?]

[ Ooh a computer. This he can do. He takes it and steps over to a table, setting it down and sitting himself on a stool next to it. He's quick with it, and types away doing something or other. A pause only for a quick sonic, boosting the wifi. ]

Right. At least it's not via Twitter. [ ugh. Twitter. ]

[Alex is just watching how all this plays out but apparently she isn't all that surprised by the idea of magical internet travel (TY Nat 20 on that Knowledge check) even if she hasn't seen it before.]

So... You guys don't have trackers on your people? [More curious than judgmental.]

[Have a judgy look. Andie bounces on her feet, restless despite her recent sprints.] No, that would be weird and creepy.

Yeah, I for one am perfectly fine with our leader trusting us more than dogs.

[ It's quite possible the Doctor has started writing code. Well, he's easily distracted. ]
