In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

Or... hold on a second. [ she stops, literally right where she is standing and looks down, fingers digging into her palms with a bit of nervousness. (look, it's different practicing with sylar, doing it in front of strangers is weird.) she focuses on her black high heels. she needs a pedicure. after a few seconds, she shakes out her hair and looks up. with disguise self, she looks like copy of elena, dressed in clothes elena probably wouldn't wear. with long straight brown hair and big guileless brown eyes instead of her distinctive blue and green ones, the equally distinctive scar gone from her throat, she sure doesn't look like lila. the will save is obv null and void since... you know, they saw her do the thing... (though her disguise check is 46) ]

It's a good trick, though. If we can find out who you are, could you use it again to replace Elena's travel buddy and slow them down?

[here's sylar 0 minutes late with starbucks. he has superhearing ok he followed her voice. he's carrying their drinks in one of those little carrying trays and also has a cookie in his mouth. her cookie. sorry boo. at least that means he can't say any stupid ass shit rn????]

[ so blunt and, you know, true. they're not the most giving couple in the world, okay. gimme that cookie, mister. she snatches both that and her coffee away from sylar with a cheerful smile. going on an adventure bb. while she drags him along behind the rest of the group she quickly outlines the plan: get stiles, lydia and jaime into air traffic control, roam the departure gates while they try to find doppelgängers in the process of doppelgänging on cctv, find them, replace one or both of them, knock elena the fuck out and drag her back to the castle. nod nod.

[ yeah lydia has been on the road ok. she's been walking them along the terminal. with the traffic control tower in the middle of the property, they can either go through the terminal, or find a way over the fences surrounding the rest of the property. they're passing the terminal entrance right now, so it's time to decide which one. ]

[Adam isn't fucking hopping fences. He told that bitch not to bring his sword and ditch the armor so he's expecting to go in through the terminal. If y'all want to go fucking rogue and really have a hard time keeping off security's radar, then hop the fence and see what happens.]

[sylar is going to make the helpful suggestion that they let jaime go last and let security throw hissy over him to keep ... more people from coming in after them. less people they have to worry about maybe being the doppel duo. why did i put this in brackets when he could've actually said it idk everyone else was doing it.]

We can take the railway to terminal three. It's the closest building to the control tower. [Adam remembers this shit from when he flew in (wisdom 23).]

[ okay, executive decision time with a diplomacy of 39. ]

Okay, we're wasting time. Adam, take Stiles, Lydia and Jaime to the tower. You don't need to go through security to get the shuttle. Once you've gotten them inside and secured a mind-link, you can come find us. Stiles, you still have them map, right? [ congrats, you've been promoted to navigator. ] Once you're in there make sure you ground all flights -- bomb threats keep everyone on the planes, but tornados will get them off. Do not try to land a plane on your own, leave someone cognizant enough to actually do some good work. Jaime, don't let anyone touch them. We'll comb departures. Text me if you find anything. Okay? Great. Go.

[ she's already half not paying attention to their answers because they all better be "yes, okay, solid plan, bye". she and sylar can just print out his boarding pass early and buy a cheap one to get into the departures proper like people do when saying their goodbyes. ]

[Jaime is mostly ok with this plan, but he's less ok with Lila and Sylar wandering off on their own. Sylar's not a knight, Lila seems focused on her Starbucks, texting has always seemed suspect to him as it is, and really, who brings a date on a mission?

He turns to Adam.]

You go with them. There's no point to this mind nonsense unless it's connecting up both teams. [Also hopefully they won't put the mission on pause to go make some bastards, but he's sure Adam can figure that out himself.]

[ lydia shoves jaime inside and turns to adam. ]

We need you to get into the tower. If she wants to bail and get lost so she can skip off with her boyfriend, that's her problem. Not ours. We don't have time to waste splitting up and bickering.

It's an airport. She'll survive.

But then Jaime pipes up and before he can ask whether or not he's suffering from mild mental retardation he forgot about the part where telepathy is necessary to get them past security, Lydia's already on top of this shit.

[He rubs his forehead idly, watching Lydia dragging away Jackson 2.0 Adam and left with the map that he does in fact still have on his phone. [Because he doesn't have an issue with Lila's plan??? It sounded basically like what they said in the car. Or at least what he figured would happen based on what they said. Before he goes, Stiles turns back to Lila (who I will handwave he exchanged numbers with before now idk)]
