[He freezes mid bite. It only lasts a second before he resumes as normal. Totally normal. Yep.]

[It's a joke, of course. But the look he gives her is slightly more flustered by the last aloha thing.]

Or maybe I unlocked the secret to Finnish. [He gives a shrug and a smile.]

Any big goals for the year?

Try not to die. [ she's been pretty bad at this the last year or so. it's a valid life goal. ]

I was going to help you with that, wasn't I? [He had made some comment about being around to help keep her alive at least.]

Sure you still want to? [ she scoops some frosting off with her index finger and licks it clean. ]

What? You think I've suddenly changed my mind already? [He's only mildly distracted by the way she's licking her finger. It's not even like she's doing it to be sexy. He's just a teenage boy and she's attractive. DON'T JUDGE.]

Wouldn't blame you.

Good to know, I guess. But no- I'm not changing my mind. You're stuck with me.

[ she chews on her fingernail absently, turning to look at the palace, not saying anything. she's not sure how she feels about that. ]

[Did he say the wrong thing? He probably said the wrong thing. Stiles awkwardly looks back at the rest of his cupcake for a moment, stealing a glance back over at her.]

[ he didn't, abigail just sucks at people. ] Thanks.

[Saying you're welcome feels weird, so he dips his finger in the icing of his cupcake and leans over to get a better look at her so he can wipe it on her nose.]

You wanna walk around?

[lurings]

[ she laughs briefly, reaching up to wipe her nose clean, before she slides off the railing. ] Sure.

[Popping the rest of his cupcake into his mouth, Stiles jumps down and heads off with her.]

Okay, so how else can we be terrible tourists? [He glances around.] We need one of those red phone booths so we can take cheesy photos in, on, or around them.

[lurings]

[ that is a special cupcake eating skill, yo. ] Double decker bus?

[ thats touristy right? ]

[Theres a reason he likes her so much. And it's because she humors these dumb ideas of his and encourages them.]

Yes! Think we can trick people into thinking I'm a tour guide?

You might need to work on the accent.

No, see I sound exotic here.

[That's not how it works, Stiles.]

[lurings]

Not to people on a tour bus. [ she shoves him playfully. ] You just sound like... us.

[He stumbles back dramatically.]

What if they're a bunch of Germans! They could be tourists too!

[He grins and without thinking about if it's okay or not, he reaches to take her hand to guide her to the nearest bus stop.]

[ O-OH THEY'RE HOLDING HANDS.

THAT IS HAPPENING.

ALERT.

WHAT.

but then she is like well maybe he's just cutting out the middle man of being like "follow me yo" so she calms down a little, but she sure doesn't pull away. ]

Okay, if we find a bus full of German tourists, you can guide them.

[He realizes it at about the same moment she does, but when she doesn't freak out? He wants to keep things going in the positive direction.]

Now, I kind of hope we do. Just to be able to tell that story later.

[Standing at the bus stop, Stiles cranes to look down the street, smiling widening as he spots a bus on its way.]

Guess we'll find out. [Reflexively, he gives her hand a squeeze. Because he's still holding it. Oops.]

[ she feels a little shiver of confused glee and butterflies stage a spontaneous mosh pit in her stomach and her heartbeat zooms up. after only just a second she shoves all that a way in favor of scoping out the bus like she will be able to figure out what country their from by looks alone. profiler she is not, tbh. she doesn't squeeze back, but she doesn't pull away either, keeping her hand firm and steady against his.]

Guess so. [ the smile she gives him does seem a little bit more... bashful that usual, but maybe it's just the sun? ]

[Sadly, his spot check makes him just as oblivious as one would imagine a teenage boy with self esteem issues to be about this sort of thing. He doesn't notice a damn thing. Oops. But the bus slows to a stop and he gives her a grin of his own before leading them to board. He's got to let go of her hand to pay (which he does for the both of them. like a gentleman okay.) And it seems awkward to grab it again, so he just glances back at her before heading for the stairs to go to the top level because why the fuck wouldn't you???]
