[  The communications tower team is two-fold, but they'll be traveling together to the Isle via a greater teleport scroll as well.  The larger group arrives at the outskirts of the wood, and it's easy enough to spot the giant tower, not far off down the road.  Night is falling, and they're shaded from the empty road at the moment by the tree line they're close to.   Lis'sa looks irritated by the method of travel, checking over her supplies before confirming for them that they've landed on target.  Zero hoists his laptop case onto his shoulder, as Aurelius pats himself down, obviously afraid of missing body parts from the jaunt. ]

[ lis'sa's eyes actually widen in horror at what's unfolding in front of them, as zero gets so thrown off that... it explains his crit fail ok. ]

[jordan's immediate reaction is not horror, or sadness, but pure rage, an emotion so rarely seen on the djinns face it would be a shock to see it now. it twists his features, a dark cloud of emotion roiling over his brow as he scowls at the fallen guards (intimidate...Nat 20?? s-so helpful against passed out guards, jordan.) he rushes to emma's side, attempting to stem the flow of blood with his jacket as faye calls solace.]

[ Despite the attempt to put pressure on her wound, Emma's blood continues to flow out of her, paling her face (fort 11, -1 hp). ]

[ looking still horrified, lila rifles through her pockets. nothing. fuck. she unzips her jacket and rifles through inside pockets. yes! turning around, she jams the small plastic wrapped package in jordan's face.

GONNA GET UR WOUND PLUGGED UP WITH A TAMPEX PEARL. ] Here. [ immediately, her attention turns back to faye, clear question in her eyes. ]

Emma's been shot. You need to get to the communications tower. Now.

[Not one of his team. Not anyone else. Him. Get your bald ass down here, grumpy. There's a pause as she looks at the others trying to help. All she can see is the blood. She manages one last word, but her voice breaks, undoing any demands she might have just made.]

[he blinks as suddenly there is a tampon shoved into his face. thankfully he knows what a tampon is, and how it is used (it was very possible he wouldn't know, but he got a good wis check of 19, so it's all good). He quickly unwraps it, exposing emma's wound just long enough to...plug it in there. yep. (treat injury 22??)

he will continue to hold pressure, and try to support emma as best he can. ]

Keep her out of further harm's way if you can. [ with that, he hangs up, ain't no time to waste. jordan successfully manages to stabilize her so ... /init??? ]

Someone's going to have to stay with her until the cleric arrives. [ the implication being that... it can't be her team. because they're on a time table that every other team is waiting on ok. truth bombs. ]

[ lila looks over at faye, down at jordan and emma, back to faye. ] Stay with them. [ because jordan is busy keeping all of emma's remaining blood in her body ok, someone needs to be on guard to shoot people in the face if they try to breathe in the direction of the swan princess while she is hurt. faye is the only person here that lila trusts 100% to make sure emma will come out of this fine. ] Catch us up when she's stable. I've got these guys.

[ bossy mcbossy pants, just taking over. she sounds like she knows what she's doing, at least, bolstered by the way she calmly pulls both her guns with an almost disturbing ease. she's obviously capable of defending them and herself, she'll be just as capable doing it on her own. (diplomacy 50) her cool, furiously eyes turn to their small flock of nerds, lingering on zero as her resolve briefly crumbles before she jaw tightens, lips pursing. ] Let's go.

[ she doesn't look like she's keen on taking no for an answer. ]

[Faye doesn't have a single inkling to try to argue with Lila right now. She has no desire to take a step away from Emma's side. And Lila can handle herself, can keep the nerds safe. And they'll catch up soon. So long as Solace moves his bald ass fast enough.

With a nod, she moves to Emma's side, opposite of Jordan and crouches down. Carefully, she moves a piece of hair from the fallen woman's face, riding out her nat 20 will save for just a bit longer until the rest of the group leaves.


Andrew remains stunned, but as Lila draws her guns, his attention shifts to her. Mission, right. He nods and steps over towards her, not having an issue at all with Lila taking point. She's sort of terrifying when she wants to be and a much better shot than he is, after all.]

[As the other group leaves, Faye finally acknowledges Jordan's existence.]

[jordan catches her eye, nodding with a look of understanding.] Of course. I only wish my spell had been more effective.

[his free hand is reaching impossibly far into the pocket of his jacket as he speaks, buried past his elbow before he is pulling it free, along with with a fancy bottle that he places on the ground next to his knee. being sure not to jostle emma, or to lose pressure on her wound, his hand is then going into the open lip of the bottle, seemingly impossible for it's size as he buries his arm up to his bicep, obviously digging for something, a look of frustration crossing his features as he seems to be tossing things aside within. after a few more seconds he seems to find what he was looking for, pulling his arm up and out, along with a large black linen towel, which he proceeds to place over emma's wound.

the bottle he leaves on the floor next to his knee.]

[What is happening right now.

Faye stares as he pulls out the bottle and starts digging around in it.]

Uh. What the fuck is that?

[Actually she just grabs it and looks inside because this is weird even for the girl who studies magic all day every day.]

[as soon as she touches the bottle he goes rigid, eyes sparking and a ringing sound coming from him (listen check dc 17 to determine where from him it was coming. a good spot check (dc 11) would reveal two silver bands encircling both of his wrists embedded into his skin from the looks of it.

darkness is all she can see as she peers inside the bottle, but she would hear things rattling and clanking inside. his eyes are trained on her fingers wrapped around the filigreed container, the blue glowing with a sapphire light.]

N-n [it's stuttered, almost like he's choking as he tries to get the words out.] I-it's my b-bottle, Mas-[and the word is choked off again before he finishes it, obviously changing what he was going to say, and not well.]-Faye.

[With a listen of 19 and a spot of 15, she's catching on. Her fingers tighten around the neck of the bottle, looking back over at him as he starts a work but doesn't quite finish.]

Oh my god. You're a-- [And then the power goes out, mirroring the way her mind immediately drifts to things that it shouldn't. She could have everything. She could unlock true power. She could get rid of Henry before he ever had the chance to remind Emma that she loved him.]

How many? [She forces out between clenched teeth as she argues against the small part of herself that is trying desperately to be the better person she's become.] How many wishes?

[his face contorts, falling at her words, her seething want. he can feel it, feel her desperation as she wars with the greed that takes all who possess the bottle of the Djinn. but he is forced to answer, a feeling he has never known, not with this intensity, this dominating force.]

Three. Three wishes. [the words are forced out before he can stop them, eyes falling closed briefly. with a deep breath he opens them once more, blue eyes sincere, pleading.] Please Faye, don't do this. Please, put it down. You don't know what these... wishes do to people. I do. I've seen it my entire life. It never leads to anything but misery. Now is not the time for this. [Diplomacy: 22??]

[He's so sincere, so intense in his pleading that it nearly breaks through the vision of her life that she can so plainly see. Nearly. (will save 23) Absently, she wets her lips, eyes adjusting to the darkness and finding his gaze.]

Shut up. [She tells him in a sharp, hushed tone as she gets up to find her fallen bag. Lila had packed it for her, essentials for the mission. And now she was adding a souvenir.] Not a word about this. I think you should be able to manage that. You can be a good boy for your master, can't you?

[She doesn't know the rules. She's certainly not going to wish him to be silent. But the term 'master' held a weight that extended beyond wishes, didn't it? She was hoping- or rather, depending on it.]

[he gets silent on command, not answering her rhetorical question, eyes glued to his bottle as faye places it in her bag. he doesn't look mad, on the contrary he rather looks sad about the turn of events, eyes focusing once more upon emma's prone form. his eyes are still sparking, a glow emanating from them that hadn't been there before.

his body language seems almost deferential when he looks up to faye again, mouth drawn down into sad lines.]

Don't give me that puppy dog eye bullshit. [Even if he's not going to say anything, if he looks distraught, people will know in a hurry.] Just... act normal.

[Pretend like she isn't making you her slave, gosh.]

[Still expecting the big dog and not a lackey cleric to show up. gonna be so mad when she finds out...]

[he...tries to make is face not look like a kicked puppy, but doesn't really seem to know what to do with his features because her command to "act normal" in context with the situation they are in results in him looking...even more like a wounded puppy.

how do u act normal when holding a bleeding gut wound?? look sad? look moar sad??? y/y. ]

I think looking saddened while holding a bleeding teammate seems appropriate in this situation. [but hell if he knows where solace is, though he is sure hoping he hurries up for some faye-tervention.]

[he looks back down to emma, brow creasing for obvious reasons.] I think she is stable, at least. But I'm not sure.

[Faye nods, and then her phone buzzes and she sees Lila's text. She's only slightly relieved, because Emma is still... not okay.]

Still no cleric

[She texts back to just Lila because group messages are annoying. Oh and she glances up at Jordan.]

They got the com tower.

Oh. That's good. [ his voice is subdued, muted as he answers her statement. Just a few moments ago that would have elicited more excitement from him, but now he felt little cause to celebrate. /mopey Joe over here. ]
