[ Having spent months scrying on areas of the Island scouted out by Sir Bancroft and Sir Chessing, Hasmed is able to send a few groups to the Island via greater teleport spells, with a fairly small margin for error, as to where they're going to land. The Shadowkind prison teams land flawlessly, and the very big group appears in a clearing in the middle of the woods, abruptly finding themselves surrounded by trees and mostly darkness. The moon is in its last quarter, and with the trees so thick above them, there are only patches of light that filter down here and there. Those with darkvision or lowlight vision can see perfectly, but anyone with normal vision may find themselves squinting to see much of anything.

The teleport spell only works if the entire group is physically connected, so when they arrive, Wolverine yanks his hand off Nathan's shoulder, and gives Drax a Look like stop touching me if you value your hand. Eric runs his Drakenet app to determine their location, then announces: "Dead on." In other words, no spell mishap sending them miles off target. Beside them all, Lan's mount, Daisy, stamps her feet slightly, obviously unnerved by the magic. He whispers "Whoa, there" and reins her in, causing her to settle. ]

[Klaus was as patient as any thousand year old vampire, but he was eager for the opportunity to get his hands dirty again. So eager in fact, that he doesn't wait for the others before he's moving to engage the approaching figure beyond the trees--probably faster than any of them could blink.

A split second later, he reaches his target but there's no formalities to be exchanged unless you count the slam attack he delivers against the approaching soldier that may or may not knock them back because dat counter-momentum tho. That, and he isn't exactly being gentle about it (attack nat 20, crit for 15 damage).]

[ Sword drawn, Alanna charges alongside Klaus, following up his slam with a sharp jab of her sword (atk 23, dmg 6). She lets out a loud battle cry as she surges forward. Sparta!!! ]

He flanks the guard, moving to the opposite side as his fighting companions, hoping to catch him further off-kilter, slashing at him with his stake (atk 21, dmg 14 if it hits).]

[Meanwhile, assuming the guy's still alive, Jaime lowers his great sword, digs his heels into his horses' sides, and does a spirited charge at the poor bastard (atk 30 (crit on a 19), dmg 32).]

purple advances inward and shoots at gus gus (atk 9), sending a bullet whizzing far to the left of him. ]

[ it's a sigh because he is being shot at and, really, HOW MANY FUCKING PEOPLE DOES IT TAKE TO TAKE DOWN ONE FUCKING GUY JESUS CHRIST. whatever, gus is over it. and he casts call lightning because he is predictable as fuck and shoots a huge arc of blue electricity at new purple. (atk 26, dmg 12)

mellie bounds forward parallel to the lightning and just passes right past new purple to greet the new visitors with a huge roar of gtfo. ]

[ purple dives aside to miss the brunt of it (ref 17) but still takes half the damage, getting singed for 6.

black shoots at the approaching GIANT BEAR (atk 11) lmao nope. meanwhile red vanishes into the tree line to the west, circling around that way. ]

[And even when she's not totally caught up in a full moon frenzy, Cora still doesn't take it well to people shooting at Gus. But she's distracted by red darting to the side (spot 22) and she completes her shift before turning and following his trajectory, aiming to try and cut him off before he can get to the first guy she saw.]

[ blue advances forward, popping a shot off at gus, but the distance isn't doing him any favors (atk 11). green crit fails as he stares in horror at the bear coming their way. meanwhile purple tries to full retreat from YOU CRAZY FUCKS TRYING TO MURDER THEM. ]

[Meanwhile, Klaus just stands there like, "Really?" when four other people swoop in on his intended kill and in doing so murder any interest he may have had in tearing apart said purple soldier.

Someone else can chase that bitch down, because he's suddenly more interested in the commotion behind them--or, more specifically, closing as much distance between himself and the group of rainbow soldiers congregating at their backs.]

[ Well, it's pretty much against Alanna's entire ethical code to chase down and murder someone who's running away.

On the other hand, the others are advancing. So. She doubles back to where Cora, Gus, and Eric are, casting produce flame (which will last for 5 minutes or 5 attacks, whichever comes first).

She throws the first ranged fireball at Blue up there to the top left (atk 16 vs touch, fire dmg 11 if it hits). ]

[With purple dispatched, Dimitri will head back into the clearing, re-joining the group there as more enemies begin to surround them.

If he has an action, he'll...hold it I guess? And probably just wait til it comes around to his turn again.]

[ also, since i'm now somewhere i can check their touch ac, i can confirm that alanna's fireball explodes directly against blue kapoww, and he doesn't make his reflex save so full damage for him.

orange moves forward, keeping cover behind the trees and shoots at klaus (atk 19; 3 dmg if it hits. ) eric moves up closer behind mellie, firing twice at pinky and hitting him right in the chest (atk 27; atk 21; total dmg 20). ]

[Well, someone needs to chase down and murder purple, and luckily Jaime doesn't have much of an ethical code. So he charges again, trying to mow down purple (atk 16 atk 20 thx action point, dmg 12 if it hits).]

[ that's just enough to knock purple to 0 hp, which means he sprawls on the ground, barely conscious. he decides, with his final moments of being awake, to take an action anyway: shooting upward at jaime (atk 15), who manages to rear his horse aside just in time. with that, purple slumps over, down for the count. ]

[ blue backs up from where klaus is coming for him, firing off one shot (atk 25; dmg 5 if it hits). green moves out beside purple, directing his fire towards gus so he can STOP ELECTROCUTING PEOPLE (atk 18, 8 dmg if it hits) ]

[Although he's able to avoid the first shot, the second tears into the flesh of Klaus' arm even as he closes the remaining distance between himself and blue. The whites of Klaus' eyes begin to darken until they are entirely black, irises glowing gold like a fucking werewolf once he's caught up--at which point he attempts to subdue to fleeing soldier (grapple: attack 32, damage 12 if successful).

Assuming he's able to successfully grapple his opponent, Klaus will then attempt to nom a bitch's throat and make blue his capri-sun to gain those five hit points he just lost back (drain: attack 27, damage 15). Don't mind us we're just embracing in the moonlight and necking in the middle of the freaking battlefield. :')]

[ With Klaus fucking biting (???????) Blue, Alanna decides not to fireball him again and instead charges between Gus and Dimitri at gray. Raising her sword, she brings it down hard (atk 24, dmg 7). ]
