The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ sigh, it's been a day. DRAG EVERYONE BACK TO CELEBRATE AND BE HAPPY and find out there's a potential traitor in the midst all over again christ on a popsicle.

anyway, wynn is here, if not a bit distracted, at least looking hella fly. ]

[Once Snow is sure that Wynn is available to speak and not talking to anyone else, she makes her way over, giving him a smile despite her rather obvious worries.

Someone talked to Rumplestilskin and got some very worrisome information.]

Could I have a moment of your time, sir?

I, um, just spoke to Mr- I mean, Sir Gold.

[So many reunions, so much information. It has her a little started, really.]

He said that my husband was sent away? [She pauses briefly before she decides she should probably...elaborate.] You would know him either as David Nolan or...Charming.

[Since memories are a messed up crazy thing around here.]

You mean to tell me that Sir Charming... is your husband?

[Her stomach literally drops fifty million feet.]

...Yes.

[Going through a million terrible scenarios in her head now, yep.]

I am sorry, that I did not know sooner. Sir Charming... was sent away, yes. But I can assure you that he is fully alive and well. [ a beat. ] Perhaps we can discuss this somewhere more private.

[With her Knowledge Check of 10, I'm guessing Rose has yet to hear about the latest crapstorm that Wynn is dealing with so she just chalks his distraction up to the usual crap he's always got on his plate when she finds an opportunity to catch him on his own.

Rose offers Wynn a nod and a small smile by way of greeting as she approaches.]

I thought you'd want to know, I didn't have to twist his arm or anything. [Something nobody would put past Rose. Literally.]

I rather hoped he might come around to it on his own. Whatever his reasons may be.

[With her ridiculous spot check of 33, finding Dean in the crowd is probably pretty easy for Rose, the brunette watching him for a thoughtful moment before responding.]

I agree with that assessment. Although you certainly know him better than I.

Long enough that your opinion him has greatly changed from the last time we spoke before you called him here.

[ damon ends up standing beside win, sizing up the crowd, the new and old. it's his silent way of acknowledging that maybe, maybe wynn and company had the right approach. also, sure, he left but no hard feelings, right? ]

[ wynn doesn't say anything for a bit, but when he does, it's oh-so-casual. ] Welcome back, Sir Salvatore.

Casualty of war? [ He's... not too broken up about it? But he can put two and two together. ]

Not at all. She did not volunteer for the war effort.

[ lila finds it very easy to abandon sylar to his own devices now that he's properly in the castle and freshly squired. she doesn't feel the need to protect him from her insane coworkers anymore.

but she does feel the need to do... something. which is why she steps up in front of wynn. she doesn't look sheepish, expression carefully neutral. she was bubbly and excited the last time they really spoke, high off her promotion. she's high off of sylar being squired, right now, but still less animated. ]

Hi... Sir. [ you know it's really hard to say "i'm sorry i lied to you and eric for over a year". ]

Sir Zacharov.

I thought this conversation might be coming.

[bittersweeter]

Yeah. [ she ain't even frontin' anymore tbh. she glances back at sylar a moment before her shoulders square. ] I can't exactly say I'm sorry, 'cause it would be a lie.

[ and, you know, she just took that oath to NOT DO THAT. ] I was trying to protect him.

He attributes his desire to reform entirely to you, you know.

[ there are few things that can disarm lila completely and that right there is one of them. she knows it, of course, sylar's told her that himself and she fought him on it, demanding that he give himself more credit. but knowing he told wynn the same thing is something else entirely. her mouth falls open a little, mismatched eyes widening. ]

He does it for himself, he just needed... a push in the right direction.

We don't always save lives with swords and trumpets of war, Sir Zacharov. Sometimes it is the subtler pushes that are the greater victories.
