After talking to Wynn, she's still uneasy. Still less sure about things. It's not even that she couldn't successfully pin Helen's disappearance (or the subsequent staying behind) and the death of her teammates on herself, it's that Wynn had chosen to outline how everyone else knew more than her and they didn't tell her any different either. There's a fine line between her seeing that as reassuring and seeing it as not being enough and it's a very blurry line at that. It's the sort of distinction that's hard for her to see, despite all she's done with the Knights, because here she's not held to those same expectations, because the pinnacle of Slayer doesn't remember who she is.

Taking a break will be good, she knows that, but she's not sure if she's going to want to come back. This place is going to rebuild, it's going to strengthen itself for the future and maybe it won't need her in that.

She's lost in thought when she snaps out of it and sees a familiar physique crossing the room. Rather than just keep walking, she calls out to him, "Need a hand with that?"

David's mostly been keeping himself moving to keep himself busy, not wanting to give himself too much time to dwell. There is certainly plenty to do and while there's also more than enough people to do it, David feels better if his hands aren't idle. When Faith comes his way, however, he certainly won't say no to the help.

"Sure," he says with a nod. "Thanks."

It's not as if she doesn't have strength to spare and helping him move something from point A to point B is something she can handle without much strain. She helps him lift the large piece and walks with him until they set it down somewhere that's not as in the way as it had been before.

"I have no clue where we're gonna put all this. I mean, it's not like we can just put it to the curb and hope the garbage'll take it."

He gives a small shrug. "The magic users have been doing their thing. I'm sure they'll find a way to use it somehow." He isn't really sure how those spells work, but he's seen them mending and making rubble disappear so he figures they've got some kind of plan.

She nods, wiping her hands off on her jeans. "How've you been, other than surviving a major attack on the castle?"

He gives a small shrug before smirking. "Kind of reminds me of home." Or what he remembers of home anyway. Not that he's saying this is a good thing, but it keeps him feeling like things are normal, anyway. "Keeps you on your toes."

There's a beat and then he shrugs. "I lost a friend, though, so it's mostly working through that."
