[astrid's current thing, when it's not laying around being a lazy fuck playing candy crush, is to help out at the med center. she remembered that was a thing she could do. BRING YOUR INJURED PEOPLE OVER HURR.]

[Thoster stumbles in to the med center at some point, arm bent in a way that is not at all natural.]

Shit.

Oh my god! [rushing over. it looks so horrible SHE'S SO EXCITED.] What happened?

[He lets out a hissing sort of sound as he rears back, afraid that she's going to barrel into him.]

Took a tumble down the steps. Landed on my arm.

That's fucking gnarly. But it's okay, I can fix it! Sit down. [there is a place for him to take a seat. she motions to it.]

[Thoster is in no place to argue so he just goes and has himself a seat.]

Seem a bit young- you sure you've done this before?

Yes, I'm sure I've done this before. How would I be not sure? Do you want someone else?

[fixyourproblem]

[Brantley walks in, hand on his chest covering a bloody torn shirt and a cut wound. The cut is just a 5-inches cut, not big enough to kill him outright, but big enough to make him lose large amount of blood.]

Can I get some help here?

[He continues to press the wound with his hand while trying to endure the pain.]

[OMG.] Yeah! [she rushes over.] What happened? Are you still bleeding?

Uhh... I went on a date with a sword but it turned out we didn't have much chemistry. [He tries to chuckle, but the pain makes him clenches his teeth, instead.] Ouch! Yeah, I think I'm still bleeding.

[she leads him over to a place to sit.] Sit down, okay? We have to stop the bleeding before doing anything else.

[He takes a seat and nods.] No mumbo jumbo, okay? Just simple stitches would be enough.

[that earns a big grin because THAT'S WHAT SHE LIKES TO HEAR. and also she doesn't possess any mumbo jumbo anyway, so she would've had to get a cleric otherwise.] I can do that. [treat injury 16 — not her best work, but she still does a good job of staunching the bleeding and stitching him up.]

[ make way, real cleric coming through :| and this one walks with purpose, although there's nothing really going on in the wing at the moment. she looks younger than astrid even, with blond hair and green eyes, and the sword sheathed at her hip seems to be radiating some kind of white/yellow light.

she's currently wearing armor, complete with a bright silver breastplate, slightly tarnished by dried blood stains across the front. she takes note of astrid's presence and offers a nod in greeting, holding out her hand. ] I'm not certain I've seen you around before.

[ her words are heavy with pride as she introduces herself ] I'm Penelope Sariel, Cleric of Sarenrae.

[her eyes glance over the armor and her judgment is already in place. penelope ... is obvs one of those crazy shadowkind ppl. /such tolerance up in hurr. BUT, she does shake her hand.] Uh ... I'm Astrid Mädchen. Did you need anything, or ...?

Just came to offer my assistance to those in need. [ no greater purpose tbh ] I see you're making yourself useful, as well. [ she sounds pleased ]

Well, you're in the right place! Yeah, I'm a medic.

[righteousmight]

[ she nods approvingly, smiling a bit ] I have some training in the art of physically mending the injured, as well, although I mostly rely on my goddess's good graces to perform my healing duties.

However, your kind will prove most useful when magic once again dissipates from this world. [ always so matter-of-fact tbh and so little tact. but it's meant to be a compliment, i guess... ]

[well astrid ... doesn't exactly take it that way. because she's tetchy.] I happen to think we're still pretty useful now.

[nepotism]

[ some days the med center is really slow and some days... fred jr. is brought in half-mauled by some monster he was fighting in the english countryside with andrew's brother. he's unconscious and bleeding his fair share 8( help him, nurse astrid. erryone else is out on missions and solace left you in charge.

in hindsight, was that the best idea, really... ]

[WOW SOLACE that is some drunk decision making right thurr. i mean ... she hasn't killed anyone yet i guess BUT STILL. wow. her face falls when she realizes it's her beautiful precious mentor fred being brought in looking like a doggie chewtoy. what if he dies??? WHAT IF SHE GETS AN UGLY MENTOR??

BUT NO. it's going to be ok. she keeps her calm (will save 16) and makes her best effort to stabilize him (treat injury 23). DON'T DIE, FRED-SAMA...]

[nepotism]

[ nurse nancy knows where it's at, and she bandages him all up and stops any horrible bleeding, and probably also got to cut his shirt off in his body in the process so it's like win/win, right.

eventually, he manages to wake up, shaking his head against the daze that comes post-unconsciousness, and one hand moves lightly to the bandage on his side, causing him to hiss. he retracts the hand and tries to look down at himself, before managing to say with weak humor: ] Tell me the other guy looks worse, at least.

[she was watching him like edward cullen the entire time. +_+ ok maybe not really, but she was hovering. SHE'S VERY INVESTED IN HER MENTOR STAYING ALIVE.] I didn't see the other guy. Only you. How are you feeling?

[nepotism]

Like I ate a cement mixer. [ does that even make sense? no. his head is still spinning, give him a break. ] Everybody else make it out alright?

You looked like you fell into one. You lost a lot of blood. [she shrugs in response to his question.] I don't know? They must have, you were the only person brought in.
