Where are the books on souls?

You might have better luck finding texts about that subject in the Dragon's Light wing.

[Spike scoffs.] I'm not looking for religious bullshit. You've got to have something here, right?

If you're not looking to learn about souls from a ... a religious context, then, er--

I'm not certain how much you're going to find to scientifically reinforce the idea.

I've recently been informed I have one by a very reputable source. [That was a goddess, so he supposes... religious shouldn't be out of the question.] There's got to be something.

Not that I can claim to be an expert, but... doesn't everyone have a soul? Why would you believe that you didn't before?

[ she gets up and starts to move towards some stacks ] Well, every country in the world has holidays based on their own cultures and histories. Not to mention many Shadowkind brought seasonal or religious celebrations of their own through the Veil with them. So if you're looking for a comprehensive list...

No, outside of seeing it written in the paper some kind of shopping sales.

Yes, well, many in this world do seem to turn a fair profit off these celebrations - but I suppose that's true of any world.

Regardless, it's a holiday born out of religious tradition - a mixture of pagan and Christian histories, although most see it as simply the latter.

Interesting, and pagan is the one closer to witchcraft, right? I hate to sound stupid here, but I am a bit new to this all.

Well, most pagan traditions are tied off from worship of spirits, or more often, of gods of the Shadow World who managed to establish some power here. The term is actually a bit misleading, as it encompasses so many different beliefs. You might think in terms of polytheism, but not all of it involves worshiping 'gods' either.

I can understand that at least. Still, this sounds like it will be a lot of reading. Luckily, I don't have much else to do.

I don't mind explaining about the ones I've become familiar with. Many of these are still new for me, since I came to this world a few years ago.
