Last April, a kindly book seller and purveyor of magical lore found himself the victim of an attack via mail when dangerous magical creatures were sent to his shop from the untraceable sender "PTC".  Since then, Wynn's been tracking the mail system, waiting for that name to pop up again, in case it might lead them to find out who was behind the first attack, and stop any other disasters from occurring.  Recently, something popped up on the radar, so the Knights have to find a way into the exclusive restaurant the Spider's Web in Manchester, or its attached nightclub The Lagoon Club.

[Satisfied that Cordy's got this, Bambi turns to Kate:] They're normal shipping crates. Chances are if the nastiness isn't already running around the club, then they'll be unopened and unchecked. Or have a giant gaping hole where the monster escaped.

[She glances at the restaurant.] Once we're in, we need to find out where they receive their deliveries and hope the stupid beastie hasn't escaped yet.

Charming the bartender could probably make that happen easily enough. They know enough about the day-to-day workings of the club and are a little more willing to talk than the security would probably be.

[Which, thankfully they're all beautiful charming women, so that part should be easy enough as well.

Then again, none of them are drow, so mileage may vary.]

Wynn said there's a club and a restaurant at the same address. Which one should we check out first?

[Kate frowns for a moment as she thinks.]

Are they in the same building? Because we may only have to get into one if they both get they store their supplies in the same place.

It's easier to get into a club then some posh restaurant. Isn't anyone selling tickets on ebay or anything?

Once we're in the restaurant, we can probably work our way into the club or the backroom of both. Wynn didn't exactly include floorplans, so I guess we're blending in, poking around, and seeing which of the bus boys are really loose-lipped.

[Kate nods in agreement.]

Should be easy enough, so long as we're ... persuasive enough.

[Most bus boys will stammer quickly enough at the sight of a pretty girl.]

We should probably be dressed for a night out, but if what's in the previous crate is any indication on how the mission is going to go, we should be prepared too. How many of you are trained with weapons?

Does breathing fire count as a weapon? [Phineas pipes up.] I've always found it to be a suitable contingency plan...

Planning to drink a lot of hot sauce before we go in?

[thesleeper]

...Something like that, sure. [Phineas has all the best magics.] I'll keep a trick up my sleeve in case something goes wrong.

Yeah well at least if something burns down then someone will know what number to ring.

[Bambi looks askance at Alisha.] At the risk of sounding like a dwarf, I have an axe.

How was I supposed to know the number was different over here? This place just has everything backwards. [ anyway ] If we're going to a club, I'm gonna need a few hours.

[Kate nods in agreement. Her gun, an axe and fire. Should do the job well enough.

She hopes.

She then glances to what Cordelia says and nods as well.]

Yeah, we should all get ready. Meet at the garage in three hours.

Yaaay. Shopping trip. [so deadpan.]

[ with a 15 disguise check (or a 19 if you're a redblooded male), cordelia looks exceptional as always, but definitely hasn't had the five hours to do her hair she normally does, aight. she shows up in a simple little black dress and heels which she feels the need to explain, as she waltzes in, snapping shut her clutch. ] I didn't want to look so much better than the rest of you that they started getting suspicious of why I'd be hanging around any of you. You're welcome.

[Kate is also looking fairly well put together, the bag with her gun in it tucked under one arm (disguise 15). She doesn't know if they'll be checking bags at the door, but if they are, she'll improvise.]

We appreciate the forethought.

[Bambi rolled a 4. She probably didn't even change.]

off they go towards their destination. the front entrance has a sign on the canopy reading "The Spider's Web", where a maitre d' bugbear in an impeccable black tuxedo looms over a podium, taking names, checking reservations, and handling crowd control.

a line curves around the side of the building, where people wait behind velvet ropes, presumably to get into the back entrance to the club. ]

[Kate glances around a bit discreetly, tucking her hair behind her ear with one hand to scan the outside of the club and see if there's anything interesting (spot 19). Odds are there won't really be anything until they get inside, but it's good to at least get an idea of the layout.]

[Joining the terrible outfit club, Phineas got a whopping 7 Disguise. He probably would have been better off not even attempting to change...]

[He can't stop staring at that bugbear in the suit, either.]

[ Alisha turns up with a disguise check of 25 so she looks pretty damn good tbqh. She speaks in a whisper to wheoever will listen. ]

Oh great this twat is going to kick us right out.

Oh ye of little faith. [She nods at Cordelia.] Cordelia and I are a good chunk of the reason King Marcus reigns in Andres. We're unbeatable when we put our heads together.

[Cordy's looks, Bambi's brains. Aw yeah.]

...Wasn't his only competition some horrible bloodthirsty monster of some variety?
