The Knights arrive in Aursaburg to help the villagers with a problem they've been having with a local witch. The little village seems fairly quiet, but the team would be able to hear some rather heated words spoken a bit down the road from them. It escalates to shouting in a hurry, with the most noticeable word of the bunch being 'witch.' Faye glances at the others, realizing that oh shit- I'm in charge. Squaring her shoulders, she gestures for the group to follow her down the road.

"Sounds like our cue." Whatever is going on in this town seems to be happening thatta way.

[Now that they're all aware of the situation, the two ogres can be clearly seen and heard in the distance. They're bickering, arguing about what way to go. Faye turns to her group and quietly hisses hide before she tries to quietly find a spot to hide (move silently 15, hide 16).]

[Cora is quick to follow Faye's lead but apparently this is when her werewolf stealth is going to choose to fail her (move silently 13, hide 9). Not that it matters, because it's probably better they decide to hit her instead of the others anyway, but Cora, you are supposed to be the sneaky one.]

[Here I was thinking Kenzi is finally in her element cause being sneaky is her jam. And then those were really awful rolls... it could be worse at least so with a Move Silently of 19 and a Hide of 18 as she does as she's told.]

[Taradiddle all but vanishes (hide 24, move silently 20... or 27/23 if there's tall grass or rosebushes around) as she takes advantage of her small side to tuck herself into a nook.]

[Well, it's Cora they see as they continue to move through the forest in search of the group.

Well, well, well- we meet again. And where are your friends, little girl?

The two ogres don't look like they intend to attack right off the bat, content to toy with her for a moment first.]

[Cora does not seem worried, probably because she isn't. She's not the little girl she appears to be. She raises an eyebrow before shrugging.]

Guess they decided I could take you all by myself.

[Her head tips to the side like she's sizing them up.]

Sounds about right.

[Kenzi isn't about to jump out and be like 'Surprise Bitches!' just yet but she is, going to have her Excalibur at the ready to fire if they make a move to attack Cora so... there's that.

IDEK if this counts as a readied action cause we aren't in Init but if it does then (Atk 23 Dmg 9) on the closest Ogre Bro should that happen. If not then she's just. Hiding and pointing her gun okay.]

[The slightly bigger of the two grins, his crooked teeth looking all the more vicious in the shadows.

Oh, I'll enjoy this.

Yeah they're gonna come at her, soooo gonna do up init for everyone. Plurk incoming.]

[And now that we have init then yes that. Attack from before. Kenzi will reveal her stupid self to take a shot at... IDK who is closer but its probably the smaller one so Atk 23 Dmg 9.]

[Well, cover officially blown. Not that Faye was planning on leaving Cora high and dry. For the sake of conserving spells, Faye goes for her gun as well, aiming for the same ogre that Kenzi shot (and hit btw) (attack 28, 7 damage).

He is...not very happy about that.]

[He's about to be even unhappier, but since Faye and and Kenzi seem to be taking care of dumbass #1, Cora will go for dumbass #2. She shifts quickly, drawing her claws out and reaching forward to slash at her ogre once (attack 37, damage 20).]

[The ogre the girls shot lets out a grunt and turns to head towards them, but isn't going to be able to get there and attack, so just.. enjoy that big nasty dude heading your way, girls.

The other one goes for Cora, but misjudges her height and wiffs right over her head (attack 10)]

[Taradiddle doesn't move from her hiding space since the assholes haven't seen her yet and shoots at dumbass #2 since he's got the fewest people dealing with him (atk 20 dmg 14 with penetration). Her cover's probably blown now but why move? She's currently weak as a kitten and out of spells.]

[And what better way to respond to an Ogre trying to plow you down?! Shoot that bitch. Atk 23, Dmg 12 (Penetration).

Yeah really. That's my tag.]

[Look at all these bad asses getting penetration damage. Faye is so proud of her team. Too bad her shots aren't nearly as good. Thankfully, she does still hit Thing 1 (attack 24, damage 5).

He looks pretty damn rough, but isn't slowing down as he charges towards the general area of the girls shooting at him.]

[Cora is going to keep tearing apart Thing #2, this time managing to get her claws into him twice (attack 26, damage 18, attack 23, damage 19).]

[Thing 2 looks like he's on his last legs, but he's still snarling and going after Cora (attack 21 damage 27 if it hits)

Thing 1 gets to the girls and turns to go after Faye with a nasty gash to her shoulder (attack 23, damage 17)]

[Taradiddle shoots at thing 2 again cause why mess with what's working? (atk 23, dmg 6).]

Hey Ugly! [Firing Excalibur. (Atk 27, Dmg 8) Thing 1's way.

And then, because Kenzi, she clarifies to Faye.] I meant him, not you!

[Kenzi's shot strikes just the right spot for the ogre to let out a grunt and stagger to the ground, blood bubbling up from his mouth.

Faye fires off another shot, but it goes wide (attack 11).]

Just-- take care of this asshole, would you?

[Meaning anyone, everyone. Teamwork. Or something.]

[You don't have to tell Cora twice. Her guy is almost gone, so she's going to do her best to finish him off (attack 29, damage 15, attack 26, damage 24 with penetration damage).]

[The other ogre does his to let out a roar of rage at his slain brother, but Cora's claws rip out his throat, causing the sound to be strangled as the life slips away.

Fucking finally.

[Faye leans against the nearest tree.]

Everyone okay?

[Cora shifts back easily, shaking the ogre guts from her arms as she does and making a face.]

I'm fine.

[And after that she'll look to scoop up her kitty friend so they can keep going, trying to see if she can find that scent again (survival 17).]

I don't think fine is exactly the word for how I am....

[Super out of spells and still drained of strength, but she's still... technically okay. She's still reasonably uninjured.]

[Faye is also really low on spells and the only way to fix that is... rest.]

We may need to hold off until morning. This has been a non stop shit show and I'm not interested in getting slaughtered by whatever comes next.
