[The damage to the library had been lamentable, to say the least. A lot of the volumes were damaged or lost and while Kate was one of the people who had done the best she could to defend it, there are still a lot of unanswered questions (for her) that came out of that fight.

That being said, she is the helpful type, so when she catches sight of what Elijah's reading as she's passing by, she slows to a stop for a moment before glancing back towards the shelves.]

There's a better account in a different volume. If you give me a second I can try and find it.

[He looks up with interest at the sound of Kate's voice; the account so far is obviously incomplete, either because of a lack of information or going by the rest of the book, a botched translation.]

I would greatly appreciate it. I scoured the shelves for everything, but it must have slipped through my fingers.

Things are a little out of order with all the damage the library took during the attack.

[She makes her way over to one of the shelves and runs her finger over the spines for a moment, before pulling out the volume she was looking for and bringing it back.]

It makes things easy to fall through the cracks.
