[ Castle repairs are still well underway, so there's that ever present remaining air of tension in the wake of the attack, but nevertheless it's the holiday season and people want to celebrate.  Any and all holiday season things can go here! ]

[ omigosh, it's a castle! caroline hadn't thought that malina and gus were lying, but... well, she didn't think it was going to be a legit british castle. it's so much better than the hotel she'd been holed up in if only by virtue of being a castle. after she meets with wynn, she makes a point to explore the castle, fluttering around like an excited puppy and she can be heard commenting idly on the decor. (downton abbey is not her thing.)

but caroline can basically befriend a brick wall, so she makes a point to offer friendly smiles to all these new people, striding forward with her small pale hand outstretched and introducing herself easily, ] Hi, I'm Caroline. I'm new.

[ look at this smile, she's so hard to resist and she has a charming earnestness about her. ]

[ as the holidays approach, the perky blonde seems to dim a little and spends more of her time in the old man bar, tossing back glasses of scotch with an ease that borders on alcoholic, especially as it seems to take a while for her to feel a buzz. at least it makes her feel all warm and fuzzy, but she's still dwelling.

at least the old surly men aren't interrupting her. ]

[Returning to the Knights meant also returning to all the people here. That included new faces among all the old and seeing Caroline Forbes in the crowd... well, that's not exactly the happiest of holiday gifts.

Not wanting to be rude, (though, pretty sure she'll still be rude), Rebekah moves toward the other blonde and tests the waters. Who knows what this girl has forgotten because of the Veil. Maybe she's gone mute. Wouldn't that be something.]

Caroline. Lovely for you to join us. [It's not lovely. Not at all.]

[ caroline blinks, eyes narrowing slightly. ]

I wouldn't deny you the pleasure of my company. [ a beat. ] Especially since we've never met.

[ sooooo how the hell do you know her name basically. ]

[Well, that's interesting. Not that Rebekah cares what Caroline remembers or has forgotten, but it's still interesting. Of course, what does she do with this information is the important thing.]

Oh, but we have. It's alright if you've forgotten. The Veil does love to tinker around with memories.

[Oh, hello. A very friendly, tiny, blonde. He blinks a time or two, as if he wasn't expecting this at all, before he reaches out to shake her hands. His expression is friendly, if slightly awkward]

I'm Sam. And I'm not new anymore, I guess.

Great, that means you can show me around. [ the smile amps up a bit more, her blue green eyes sparkling with mischief, and caroline lets her small hand linger in the honey ham catcher's mitt that is sam winchester's big ass paw. she draws it back slowly, fingers brushing against his for a moment longer before the contact breaks. ]

Yeah, sure. No problem.

[He rubs the back of his neck as he turns his head down the length of the hallway before he looks back at her.]

Anywhere you want to start? I don't want to bore you with things you've seen already.

Oh! [The sudden introduction seems to take her by surprise. Willow recovers as quickly as possible, though, giving her a smile in return.]

Nice to meet you, Caroline. I'm Willow.

That's a pretty name, there was a willow tree outside Tyler's house. [ her smile turns a little absent, fond, before she shakes her head a little, pushing the nostalgia away before other memories can creep in. ]

I'm guessing Tyler is someone from back home? [She's either American and native to this world or she came through the Veil. Either way, she's a long way from home.]

[oh hello super friendly person that she wasn't expecting.] Hi, welcome. [Wanda shakes Caroline's hand.] Wanda Maximoff -- not new at all. [She offers her a quick smile after the introduction.] How new are you?

Just got in a couple days ago new. [ precious lamb hasn't even been squired yet, but she doesn't seem to mind. she takes make yourself at home to heart. ]

[that's .. very new, yes.] You seem like you're settling in well. [that's definitely a positive comment. someone this friendly is probably having a good experience, despite the mess that parts of the castle are still in.]

Just, uh, ignore some of the mess around here. We're not usually this messy in parts of the castle, I promise.

[Spike eyes her hand like it might bite him. She might make friends with a brick wall, but can she befriend a surly vampire?]

Hi, I'm Spike. I'm too bloody old for this.

[Probably. He still doesn't really know how old he is.]

[ her nose wrinkles with a slight roll of her eyes. ]

You sound like Stefan. [ which may or may not be a compliment. last she remembered about stefan he was going to murder town or something and making damon look like a decent person, which was a travesty as far as caroline is concerned. ]

Who the bugger is Stefan?

Nothing specific. This guy, Sam, he gave me a mini tour, horrible at it, but I found the library.

[ you found it, huh, caroline? he didn't show it to you? sure. ]

Perhaps they'd be better served in nominating tour guides than allowing anyone to volunteer. What were you hoping to find in the library?

[And he doesn't seem bothered at all by the introduction and is just going to stick his hand out to shake hers. Let's make friends! basically.]

Yup. [ she tosses back another glass, nose wrinkling slightly at the taste. one of the problems with her inability to get quickly drunk is that she has to keep tasting it.

she glances over at him. ] Don't tell me you're about to card me.

[he snorts his amusement.] Please, I don't give a shit. I was drinking when I was your age, probably.
