[Well, that's interesting. Not that Rebekah cares what Caroline remembers or has forgotten, but it's still interesting. Of course, what does she do with this information is the important thing.]

Oh, but we have. It's alright if you've forgotten. The Veil does love to tinker around with memories.

[ her head tips thoughtfully before she straightens, tossing her hair over her shoulder, nonchalant. ]

Must not have been that memorable.

[Her lips purse, gaze narrowing slightly.

No. It's not worth her effort.]

I'm Rebekah Mikaelson. [Maybe the last name will ring bells or at the very least, give her a small bit of information.]

[ if that's supposed to impress her, it doesn't. caroline looks at her with an expectant expression as if waiting for her to go on, but when she doesn't caroline gives in to perfunctory manners with a nearly imperceptible roll of her eyes. ]

Nice to meet you. [ is it though? is it? ]

[Her gaze narrows, slightly. Interesting. She has to wonder just how much the Veil took from her. It seems like she might be another case like Elena...]

I'm sure it is. [See, it is nice.] Do you know my brother, Niklaus?

[highlyemotional]

No? [ she's getting impatient and a little irritated, she doesn't want to hear about people she's apparently supposed to know. but maybe this girl is just highly deluded. ]

Did you go to Mystic Falls High?

[beks]

For a little while. [She is still trying to figure out just how much that Veil yanked out of her head.]

I went to prom. It wasn't that awful. [It was pretty upsetting considering everything.]

[highlyemotional]

[ she scoffs like bitch please. ] Prom hasn't happened yet.

[beks]

[Oh, this is definitely very interesting.]

Oh, love, it has happened. You organized it. It wasn't entirely special, so I can see why the Veil might have elected to have you forget it.

[highlyemotional]

[ she pushes out a sigh and corrects, in the most patronizing tone possible. ] First of all, you can keep your condescending British colloquial pet names to yourself. Second of all, of course I organized it, I'm the prom committee, that's my job. [ fucking duh. ] And lastly, no, it has not happened yet because it was still September so whatever deluded fantasy world you're living in where we know each other and you think you're a better blonde, get over it.

[beks]

It's far from a delusion, Caroline. [She sighs, heavily.] I've been here for a few years and I arrived after prom happened. It's just that either you've forgotten that segment of history or the Veil did something weird and took a lot longer to bring you here or it selected to take you from earlier.

[She shrugs.] It happens.

[highlyemotional]

Well, whatever happened, at least I know you weren't prom queen. [ so it doesn't matter. mystic falls high would never vote in a stranger for their king and queen, so even if it wasn't caroline, it was someone she grew up with and that's better than... whoever this is. ]

[beks]

I was nominated. I went with Matt Donovan. [Elena cheated, though. She's not about to go into that story and be accused of further lying.]

But no, I didn't win.
