Gwen might. She's Welsh. I think there are Christians in there somewhere.

So, in other words, you're saying this is just an excuse for second Thanksgiving for most of us.

Yes. But with presents!

[because Thanksgiving does not normally have presents.]

Which, speaking of ...

[and she will turn to face the tree so she can start going through presents to find Skye's.]

Well, presents do make it better. [ She joins Malina to find the one to exchange for it while they're at it. ]

[And she will fish out a gift bag with this adorable van inside, handing it over to her with a smirk.]

Not the real thing, but I figured it would help remind you of your roots.

[ Her eyes widen, and a smile starts to break across her features as she takes it. But as her eyes study the little plush, slowly, the smile decays into a teary-eyed look, and finally into something deeply sad but otherwise unreadable. Only then does she look up and, nodding, very solemnly say, ] Thank you.

[ it seems to mean something to her beyond words. ]

[She knows how much that van meant to her and while it's not the real thing, it's at least something close.]

Of course. Merry Christmas.

I didn't— [ Skye fumbles to pick up the crudely wrapped present she got Malina. It has all the signs of a child's wrapping touch, speaking to inexperience. ] It's not much, but Merry Christmas. [ Inside is one of those custom made bohemian style etsy scarves because it seemed like Malina's aesthetic. ]

[She takes the package and opens them with a bright smile.]

Oh, I love these. Thank you!

[And she means that genuinely. It's not the type of present but the thought that counts.]

[ A smile breaks out over Skye's face and she nods. ]

Good! The look reminded me of your whole — [ She gestures as if to indicate Malina's whole aesthetic. ] So I figured what the hell.

I could always use more scarves. Especially since Wynn likes to send me to very cold places at times.

Bad guys. No appreciation for the people who are gonna have to kick their ass while they're planning where to do their evil.

[She shakes her head.]

You would think that they would want to think of their own comfort as well. I would much rather plot evil from a tropical beach than an arctic wasteland.

Maybe they couldn't. Supervillain origin story, right there in the heart of the arctic.

That's true. If I were stuck in the frozen tundra, I'd want to destroy the world too.

Mystery solved. Maybe our new mission objective should be to build a retirement complex in Florida.

[She makes a face before shaking her head.]

Florida's too humid. I think I'd rather go with Hawaii.

You don't have to go with them, Malina.

Why would I not want to go to Hawaii?

[Malina is ... very drunk. Her ability to follow conversation right now is at it's basics.]

[ She opens her mouth to answer, thinks better of it, and just laughs instead. ]

No reason I can think of. Let me top your eggnog off. I'll be right back. [ She takes the glass from Malina. Or tries, at least. ]

[More eggnog sounds like a solid plan.]

[So she will let her take it and probably be curled up for a nap by the time she gets back. Sorry, Skye, it's been a good holiday.]
