Is there something you need to tell me... or ask me?

I just ... wanted to see how you were doing.

[She pauses for a moment.]

I haven't been all that great at the whole mentor thing, but I want to try and be better.

[animalistic]

Okay. [She glances to her.] I've never had a mentor, so I don't really know what you're supposed to do.

I guess I didn't even notice that you weren't doing a good job.

[impetere]

[Well, that's good? Maybe?]

I don't know. Me and my mentor are really close, so I guess ... I felt like I wasn't doing what I was supposed to do. As long as you're okay with stuff?

[animalistic]

I'm doing better, I guess. [She shrugs.] I talked to Dr. Sweets about a few things and if you want to do something sometime, I'm not going to say no. It's just with everyone going on missions and the castle falling apart... I figured there are more important things.

[impetere]

[She's not wrong there. There has been other important things. But at the same time, Malia is her squire, she should make time for her. She pauses for a moment, trying to make sure she gets the words right before speaking again.]

Yeah, but you're important too. Maybe not to the other knights here, but you're my squire.

[There's a beat.]

Maybe we should make a regular thing. Like training sessions or just ... hanging out. Just so we're checking in with each other regularly.

[animalistic]

Not always were-related things? [Because, she doesn't want everything to revolve around her transformations.]

[impetere]

Yeah. Normal stuff.

[She pauses before giving a shrug.]

I have like ... six years of pop culture and movies to catch up on. It could be fun to have someone to do it with?

[animalistic]

I might not be any help with that. Stiles was trying to get me started on all of his favorite movies, but... [That was back in Beacon Hills.]

I missed out on a lot too. [Countdown to Malia actually understanding what Cora meant in 5...4...3...!!!] Oh, that's why -- I get it.

[impetere]

[She smiles softly before nodding.]

Yeah. If you wanted to, we could catch up together?

[animalistic]

Sure. That sounds okay. Just ... let me know when.

[impetere]

Cool.

[And she feels a little better, which wasn't really the point, but she hopes Malia does too. Somehow. She really is bad at this.]
