[ Castle repairs are still well underway, so there's that ever present remaining air of tension in the wake of the attack, but nevertheless it's the holiday season and people want to celebrate.  Any and all holiday season things can go here! ]

[ Mars kept his hands reached out a moment as he took a deeper breath letting it out slowly making himself calm. (will 15) ]

[she's dubious, but doesn't see a need to call him out on it. (sense motive 19)] No, I'm fine. Um ... do you need anything? Like, um, to sit down? Or water?

[ He keeps up the slower breathing.] No, I'm fine. It's cool. [ he held a hand up for a second.]

I guess this works though, I have something for you.

What, really?! [distracted by the promise of things whoops]

[ He opened the messenger bag, which much as one expects of a bag of holding is rather tardis like in holding more than it should. He pulled out a present wrapped in paper that looked red and orange all at once tied up with yellow and orange ribbons and held it over. It had no name on it, but she was the only person he'd wrap something up like flames. Inside was a dress ]

I don't know if its your style, so there's a receipt in there too, just in case. [ He moved back to lean against the wall, mostly for distance. Knowing it's her he's less shaken but his heart was still pounding.]

[well, she legit shrieks with joy when she opens it, so ... ] Oh my god!!! MARS!!!! It's beautiful!!! Thank you so much!! [she hugs the dress tightly against she chest so she won't be tempted to try and hug him into a panic attack again.]

I saw it a awhile back and thought you might like it. It was still at the mall when we got back from LA, I was just waiting till Christmas.

[ Yep, he's been holding onto a dress for months. Opps. He was glad she didn't try to hug him again just yet. Though now he kind of expects it's coming so he's preparing himself mentally (will 20) ]

That's adorable. You're adorable. Now I feel bad I didn't get you something better.

I aim to please. [ He pushed off the wall now, relaxed a bit.] Don't worry about it, whatever it is I'm sure it's fine. I don't really need things.

I'll give it to you now, anyway. [she drags him to the rec room where most people are doing their christmas stuff and presents him with a neatly wrapped box. spoilers: it's a cat selfies kit.]

[ Following along with no objections, he opened the gift once she handed it over, careful not to tear the wrapping paper to much.]

Holy shit, this is awesome! Oh, Venus is going to hate me later.

Yay!! I'm glad you like it! [so pleased.] You have to show me all the selfies you take.

just assuming theyve swapped numbers at some point.

How could I not? This is great. [ He was looking over the writting on the box.] I'll do better, I'll text them as their done.
