A distress beacon ... [ Her perplexity doesn't immediately make sense, and she doesn't offer context but to blink, searching his words for sense. She comes up empty, only then realizing that his arrival must have made it unclear. Which leaves her to explain. ] Poe ... No one can come looking for us. The Veil didn't bring us to another system, it brought us to another world entirely.

But this is how new worlds are discovered half the time. There has to be a way back. This can't just be it.

... I'm sorry. But I don't think there is. [ Which she doesn't say lightly, but she's had enough talks about the Veil to come to understand that since she got here. ]

Well, maybe not, but who knows, maybe there is an it just hasn't been figured out yet.

I hope you're right. [ She thinks of Finn, lying unconscious in the medical bay. Her heart sinks at the thought of never making good on her promise that they'd see each other again. ] There's someone waiting for me, and I'd like to know if he's okay.

Even if we can't get back, we might yet be able to bring them back somehow. We can hope, at the very least.
