Yeeeeah, you're gonna need every degree in triplicate and a handwritten essay about why you deserve to be taken seriously in the field before they'll even look you in the eye. [he presses the tips of his fingers together and shrugs.] And then there's still no guarantee you'll ever get taken seriously. On the plus side, the Knights seem to be very equal opportunity. I haven't even heard of any wage discrepancies between humans and... I don't know. Orcs. Half-orcs. Whatever we have here.

Yes, and I hear our budget is unparalleled. Which is good. Money shouldn't be a factor in the pursuit of knowledge.

Yes, if this organization is evil, they are hiding it very well. [Which doesn't mean she's totally ruling it out.]

It does seem like it would be a little overly complicated.

Not to mention way more diabolical than I think Wynn would be. He's just so... okay, intimidating, but only in a fatherly way.

I've never had a father, so I wouldn't know. [She shrugs, not looking particularly put out by her lack of a father. She isn't human. She was never supposed to have a father.] One of my... long time acquaintances [Best friend slash ex] had a father, though, and honestly I hope Wynn isn't anything like him.

Yeeeeah. My dad's just intimidating in the intimidating way, so... Good on Wynn for maintaining that balance. [he flashes her a thumbs up sign to... indicate that he is dismissing the fact that she was probably made. Like a candy construct or something.]

He didn't even know about my last place of employment before it imploded. I don't catch up with the Elder Brinks much. They've got their thing, I've got my thing, and we avoid each others' things. It's how we get along.
