[ Castle repairs are still well underway, so there's that ever present remaining air of tension in the wake of the attack, but nevertheless it's the holiday season and people want to celebrate.  Any and all holiday season things can go here! ]

There are some things I would have rather forgotten. The way she looked at the end, how weak the sickness made her. But if that's the price I have to pay to keep every smile she ever gave me? It seems a fair enough trade.

I wish I remembered more of my mom. Most of it is just ... warm thoughts. I don't even remember what she looked like anymore.

Do you have any likenesses? Like you're always taking of the children with your phone. [He means pictures. He's trying.]

[She thinks for a moment, before shrugging.]

Maybe in my storage back in New York. From my stuff from when I was shuffling around.

We could go back and look sometime, if you wanted. [He'd go with her for a trip down memory lane, if she was ever interested in such a thing.]

[She glances back with a small smile, before nodding.]

Yeah. Maybe we'll see after the holidays. There's a lot of stuff I should probably get out of there anyway.

Wonderful. We'll make a trip of it. You can show me around your old stomping grounds.

That would be fun.

[There are certainly people she wants him to meet anyway. A lot of family there that he should get to know. But that's a plan for another time.]

Until then, I think it's time to track down some baby safe Christmas cookies. Want to join us?
