A several year operation investigating a Consortium known as PTC run by a mysterious man - now revealed to be a ogre - named Estavan has led to the discovery that he made a a business deal with a trio of demons. To no one's surprise, that did not end well, and Estavan has asked the Knights for help in setting things right. Estavan has asked the Knights to head to his warehouse in London and keep the creatures busy while he goes to meet with the Consortium's Ruling Council to find a way to take care of them. While Phineas, the Doctor, Val'drin, and Alec stay behind to clean things up at Estavan's home, Cordelia and Kate phone for back-up to meet them downtown at the warehouse.

They meet up in the warehouse district of the city, outside the large building.  There are several empty trucks parked out in the lot, but otherwise, no visible lights on, and only one door set in the side of it, and a few closed heavy loading doors.

[She got a whole 5 on her listen check to try and catch Cordelia's call.

She isn't stopping. She might even be using her teleportation to try and catch up to this woman and stop her.]

[OH MY GOD ASHLEY.

Kate makes a frustrated noise but if she can catch her before she teleports, (if this works) she's going to cast Ice Plane on the opening of the alley creating a wall of ice that's 10 feet high and 20 feet thick, after the woman escapes. She's hoping that it will stop her and redraw her focus and won't do her any actual damage, but if she does run into it, it's 5 points of cold damage.]

We did what we came here to do, we saved her, but we need to get back to the mission.

[ reflex save for ashley of 15+ or she'll run into dat wall. if she gets a 20+ she can just teleport through it. ]

[Yeah she rolled....a 25.

She gone, phasing through the ice wall in one smooth motion. Between being promoted and dealing with the aftermath of her Mom bailing on the knighthood for, like, forever, apparently she's doing whatever she wants these days.]

Oh my god, let her go, she can catch a flight back from Chicago or whatever!

She can teleport. Like... Theoretically she could just teleport back when she's done and we can... stay on task. Maybe.

I'm just saying it's not really abandoning a teammate, in this situation.

[Kate weighs her options for a moment, before taking a deep breath and nodding. It's not like Kate didn't try to stop her and bring her back.

She turns back to the door and stepped back inside again, before glancing to the rest of the team.]

Notice anything interesting while we were gone?

[Her lips purse as she begins to scan the room again herself (spot 29).]

Something relevant to the mission, please.

[And Cordelia wins for making Kate use her Castle voice. Not that she knows that.]

I mean, I'm with her. We were waiting for you guys out of the kindness of our hearts.

Kind of afraid to try another one of these doors, in case the rest of you just all get distracted and run off, one by one.

Then maybe we should just keep heading further down, and see if there's anyone else trying to open any doors.

Considering we're dealing with beings from Hell and Hell, in every movie I've ever seen, is all about temptation... Definitely pro-not opening anymore doors unless we have to.

[allaboutme]

[ cordelia looks up in exasperation and points at a floating island of pallets above them ] What about that? No doors involved.

[astrid glances up and ... approves begrudgingly.]

I guess that's something.

Okay. Let's go.

[And she'll move to take what was Ashley's place in maneuvering the forklift and try to steer them up towards the pallets (pilot 22).]

[ cages full of pixies, sprites, and other tiny fey folk fill the floating pallet. one of the tiny creatures notices them approaching and calls out: "Please help us, large ones! We have been captured and are to be sold as slaves. Don't leave us to this cruel fate." the other fey pick up the chant, begging for help. "Free us, please free us," they call. a tough-looking pixie adds, "We can make it worth your while, large ones."

cordy looks at the others, obviously intrigued. ] How much worth our while are we talking...?

[andblockbuster]

I mean fairies always seem to know where they're going, if video games have taught me anything...

[He suddenly snaps his fingers. (arcane lore 23)] Oh dude. I saw a documentary the other day about Pixies. I don't think they're gonna screw us over, but they're not exactly bound by their word.

[allaboutme]

Hey! Pixies! How do we know you're going to follow through, huh? [ yeah that's helping, cordy.

"We will help you! We will help!" they squeal ]

[killmypatience]

[Kate doesn't input her opinion one way or another, doing her best to see if she can try and gauge how truthful the pixies are being (sense motive 27), if it's at all possible.]

Help us how?

[allaboutme]

[ they seem legit???

"We ... we can heal! Yes! We can help those who are sick!" ]

Wow, that's way less monetary than I was hoping for.

[andblockbuster]

[awkwardly and through gritted teeth:]We didn't exactly bring a cleric, Cordy...

[He looks at Astrid.] ...Even though we brought two actual medical doctors. Which are superior, but, like... Oh, to heck with it.

[Their argument is good enough for him, so he's gonna try to let them out. (disable device 23)]

[They seem like they're on the level so she doesn't stop him, but she also doesn't know enough about Fae, so ... ]

Is there any way we can guarantee they keep their word?

Um... bigger problem. [ cordy's voice is distant, full of shock and horror, probably because something skitters around the underside of the pallet, looming up behind topher as he works - an enormous spider, with a bloated body, as large as an ox. its legs seem to span almost fourteen feet, and its forelegs end in massive cleavers. four bulbous eyes, a malevolent gleam in each, rise out of its carapace. time for init, fam ]

[look just because astrid is a drow chaser doesn't mean she's stoked to see a giant fuckin spider okay. don't be rude.]

Yeah, more like enormous problem. [she draws her gun but uh how much useful shit can she really do against A SPIDER. SHE IS A MEDICAL DOCTOR DAMN IT]
