Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return.  With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane.  Their destination?  A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains.   This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia.  Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair.  It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.  

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

No? ...wait, what was the question?

[ it's been three years. apparently vi has no idea how to deal with being flirted with because warmth rushes to her cheeks blessedly already pink from the cold and the strange feeling of being flirted with makes her legs feel like jello and she has to grab his arm as she stumbles into him. ]

Oh, you're hot. Warm! You're warm. [ what the fuck. ]

[ he stops and smirks down at her, catching her readily as she falls against him with a nat 20 reflex save of his own.

she's not kidding. he's actually warm to the touch, which feels like a blessed relief in this climate. his eyes twinkle with amusement at her revelation, and the way she stumbles over her words. ]

Da, something of a side effect. [ his hand squeezes her arm slightly ] It is certainly something that helps with these long, freezing nights.

[ again, what the fuck ]

You smell like Idris Elba looks.

[ she should move but he's nice and warm and she feels weird. a strange fluttery dizziness. ]

[ well, he doesn't seem to mind just... standing here in the stairwell. at least it's protected from the winds here. his lips curve up further at the comment, and he reaches up to brush her hair back with the back of a finger. ] I hope that's a good thing.

[ because vi can't hide anything on her expression, confusion and then shock and then brief horror mingle on her expression briefly. do they not have idris elba in russia? what kind of hellscape did jack bring them to? ]

A man needs a reason to express interest in a beautiful woman? [ his fingers linger against her hair, as if waiting to see if she's going to indicate he should stop ] Things can't have changed that much out there.

[ now that she's put it out in the very blunt open, his eyes rake across her features slowly, in a way that makes her feel like the one whose skin is unusually warm ] It's been years since I had anything lovely to look at.

[ what the fuck. her mouth opens again, puffing out a startled little breath. still incapable of taking a compliment. ]

Our team is made up of many beautiful women, [ she points out, staying still so he can just carry on doing what he's doing. ] Lots of lovely to look at.

[ well, if that's the case, he'll just grow bolder, his hand shifting to caress her cheek with his thumb, his fingers dipping against her neck. he's uh, just sharing the warmth.

is he getting closer? ] Most of them already seem to have someone keeping them warm at night.

Plus, I doubt any of them can make flowers grow in a dead frost.

[ unconsciously she tips her head into his hand, like a kitten seeking warmth. because he is obviously just sharing the warmth in this suddenly very warm stairwell. ]

Was it the flowers that did it?

[ yeah he's definitely getting closer. his palm presses against her cheek, tilting her slightly upward as he bends near. ] You ask a lot of questions.

[ what the fuck ]

Was it? [ s l o w l y vi's hand leaves his arm, finally, shifting very slightly to ghost her fingers against his torso. ] It's only that you seemed more interested in showing off, which was pretty cool, and then poof, sudden interest in flowers, violets included.

[ a beat. ] That's what Vi is short for.

It's beautiful. [ he stops right up in her grill, close enough that she can practically feel the heat of his breath. ] And not surprising.

I'm sensing a theme.

Bitches love flowers.

[ fingers curling against the fabric of his suit jacket, she surges up on her tiptoes, caution vanishing with the cold as the warmth of being this close to him envelops her, anxiety burned away in a rush of heat. she might have been dancing around it, but there's no hesitation when her lips press to his, rough and almost determined. ]

[ sunspots - nine inch nails

there's the pleasant sensation of his lips sliding up into a smile against hers, the only beat of anything remotely resembling hesitation in his response. his hand slides across her cheek, her neck, fingers gliding back into her hair as he pulls her into him, the kiss bold and seeking, his lips claiming hers again and again - softly one moment, fierce and hungry the next, as the heat of him swells against her.

and damn, if he doesn't know what he's doing (dex 23). ]

[ vi continues to be out-kissed, but in her defense -- it's been a while, she is out of practice, and converse are not meant for cold stone steps because she probably slips on the worn staircase, peppering the thoroughly enjoyable making out with faint laughter and murmured apologies. (dex 15)

he chuckles against her after that keeps up, a low, appealing sound that hums through his chest. with one last languid kiss, he draws apart long enough to say decisively, eyes flashing: ] My room.

[ she nods, cheeks flushed and lips pink and swollen from being so thoroughly kissed, leaning toward him a little like she's chasing the kiss. come back. ]

Yeah. Yeah. Definitely not the stairs.

Definitely not. [ his tone is playful however, and one hand wraps around her waist as he draws her again for another dizzying kiss ]

[ i mean on the other hand, she seems content to stay right here and get the pants kissed off her by a stranger so... he might have to take the lead, especially since now that he's doing all the work keeping her steady, her hands are free to roam, arms curling around his shoulders, nails dragging across the back of his neck. ]

[pyrokineticist]

[ he's fine just being into that for awhile first, and the hand at her waist roams down to her hip, down the outside of her thigh, and back up again. his voice gets rough when he finally desists and reaches up to take her wrist, sliding past her and drawing her with him down the steps and into the hall ] This way.

[ FINE IF SHE MUST. hopefully he won't notice the creeping ivy spreading across the walls of the stairs, marking their path. ]

Aren't there single people in the village?

[selfcombust]

No one of interest. [ if he notices, he doesn't say anything, leading her down the hallway to a door just around the corner. with a tug, he pulls her between himself and the door, and steps in so that she has to press herself against it, placing one hand right next to her head. ] Still asking questions.
