The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many. Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility vaguely near Las Vegas: agreeing to work alongside the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization to find a way to take down Blade. It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return. Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.

Most of the facility is underground, and the Knights are each granted badges that will act as keycards to get them into the barracks area that has been sequestered for them in its own building (called the Enclave), as well as to access the other rooms that are open to their use. It is more or less similar to this, but scaled up in size to account for the larger numbers of people housed on base. There are separate buildings on the base compound for the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (The Sanctuary) and for those members of Hellsing (The Bulwark) who have relocated as well. The entire compound itself is referred to collectively as "The Harbor". Peter Fargason will continue to run training drills daily, attempting to mold the Knights into a more efficient combat unit, and Hasmed, Solace, Koraith, Dovan, and Lis'sa will continue to assign missions to members of the Knighthood, ostensibly aimed towards slowing the tide of monsters and evil doers heading to Los Angeles and protecting Shadowkind in America from the "war on Shadowkind" being waged by the American government, as non-humans are being rounded up as potential threats to the country. Hasmed and Solace have assumed joint leadership of the Knighthood, and appointed no Dragon's Claw to replace either the deceased Sir Bancroft or the now gone rogue Sir Chessing.

Gone is the eclectic decor of the castle rooms, replaced by a much more uniform look to each assigned barracks, which, unfortunately, sleep two to a room because of restraints on space. Feel free to sign up for a roommate on the thread on this post. In fact, everything here is much more polished, state of the art, and modern, which is a jarring change from the castle. How well people adjust may depend on quite a few factors... but for now, they are free to attempt settling in.

Personally, I prefer the familiar setup back home.

Well sure, but that's cause it's home. [ She might have felt the same way if she'd been there longer. ] Not being owned by S.H.I.E.L.D. was another bonus, I bet.

[ She doesn't hate S.H.I.E.L.D. but she's seen them in action. She fully expects they'd screw over everyone here if they decided it was the right move. ]

I don't expect anything here to not be bugged seven ways from Sunday.

[tasings]

Oh. Trust me. It is. [ No checks needed. She's met Coulson. ] Even handwritten notes aren't safe around these guys.

[lissatrinall]

You sound familiar with them.

[tasings]

S.H.I.E.L.D? Oh, yeah. [ So casual as she proceeds to play with shit that's probably worth more than her student loans. ]

Jane and I were in New Mexico with our friend Erik. She was looking into veil stuff. Cause. That's what she does. [ So technical. ] So anyway, she hit this guy in her car and I guess he was like, a "God".

[ Yep. Those are air quotes she's doing. ]

So anyway. S.H.I.E.L.D showed up and Area-51ed meow-meow and like, took all our stuff. All Jane's research, Erik's laptop... My iPod. [Most important part of the story.] You know how like, only children never learn how to share so they hog all the toys? That's S.H.I.E.L.D.

[lissatrinall]

[ if lis’sa had a tendency to blink like a normal person, she would probably do so now. instead, darcy is treated to a long inhuman stare. ] She hit a ‘god’? [ she sounds extremely doubtful ]

[tasings]

[ Darcy nods like, its the most normal conversation in the world, k. ]

With her car. [ Squinting. ] It was more of a van, really? Anyway, that was before I tased him.

[lissatrinall]

Hardly much of a god, if that's the case.

[tasings]

That's what I said. Guess they don't make em so tough in Asgard.

[That may be a hint of a smirk there because... she knows better but technically? Nothing she's said is a lie, so...]

Asgard? That's Norse, isn't it?

[tasings]

I think they borrowed it? But close enough.

So what happened to him?

[tasings]

He went on like a vision quest to get his hammer back. Got the girl. Totally abandoned the girl so that she could sit around in her pajamas all day. Came super close to getting the girl again but now we're back to Pajamas while he's all... I don't know. Ahhh my brother. Well... maybe now it's more like Ahhh Trump? But I think that's everyone, so...

[ That is... not at all what happened Darcy. ]

[ give her a second… ] Thor. You’re talking about Thor.

I’ve heard about his exploits.

[tasings]

Yeah! [ All surprised that she's heard of him.

Um. Darcy. People who aren't you, watch the news okay. ]

He's kind of a big deal, I guess. The big director man is part of his fan club.

[ Grinning because. Bugged. ]

I've read the mission reports. We could use someone like that on our side right about now.

[tasings]

You should talk to Jane. [ Leaning in all conspiratorial like. ] You didn't hear it from me? But she's the "Girl" in question.

[ Because Lis'sa could have heard it from so many other sources? ]

I'll have to do that. Jane Foster?

That's the one. Lead with Thor. She'll stop whatever she's doing.
