The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many. Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility vaguely near Las Vegas: agreeing to work alongside the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization to find a way to take down Blade. It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return. Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.

Most of the facility is underground, and the Knights are each granted badges that will act as keycards to get them into the barracks area that has been sequestered for them in its own building (called the Enclave), as well as to access the other rooms that are open to their use. It is more or less similar to this, but scaled up in size to account for the larger numbers of people housed on base. There are separate buildings on the base compound for the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (The Sanctuary) and for those members of Hellsing (The Bulwark) who have relocated as well. The entire compound itself is referred to collectively as "The Harbor". Peter Fargason will continue to run training drills daily, attempting to mold the Knights into a more efficient combat unit, and Hasmed, Solace, Koraith, Dovan, and Lis'sa will continue to assign missions to members of the Knighthood, ostensibly aimed towards slowing the tide of monsters and evil doers heading to Los Angeles and protecting Shadowkind in America from the "war on Shadowkind" being waged by the American government, as non-humans are being rounded up as potential threats to the country. Hasmed and Solace have assumed joint leadership of the Knighthood, and appointed no Dragon's Claw to replace either the deceased Sir Bancroft or the now gone rogue Sir Chessing.

Gone is the eclectic decor of the castle rooms, replaced by a much more uniform look to each assigned barracks, which, unfortunately, sleep two to a room because of restraints on space. Feel free to sign up for a roommate on the thread on this post. In fact, everything here is much more polished, state of the art, and modern, which is a jarring change from the castle. How well people adjust may depend on quite a few factors... but for now, they are free to attempt settling in.

Okay, maybe just a little, but that doesn't negate what we did ourselves. We just had less to work with than a massive spy network does, clearly.

[ She lives off the energy created by your linefaising though, Jane. ]

I mean... that's a little like saying Science is Science whether its at MIT or Community College but sure.

[ Now she's just grinning. She understands the point, Jane, but SHINY! ]

You forgot about that Nazis. [ I mean if we're talking about the shady that is S.H.I.E.L.D. One can never forget the Nazis. ]

If a world-class scientist is doing an experiment at said community college, they're still gonna kick some ass, okay.

[She gets by this point that Darcy is just screwing with her, though, so she doesn't seem super pressed anymore.]

Don't even get me started. Let's just hope that's not a thing anymore and get the hell out of here once it's over.

[ Grinning because while she was stirring the pot? Darcy will admit she likes it when Jane has that fire in her eyes. ]

They're not so bad. [ No you don't need to check your ears. ] Well okay they are but they don't pretend to be anything else. Which, by the by. Toilets and bedrooms should be safe zones.

Well at least toilets.

Well, if you ask me terrible is still terrible even if they wear it on their sleeve.

[But that's neither here nor there.

She pauses though, looking a little oddly horrified.]

Oh my god I didn't even think of that.

Uh. They're not hiding. That Coulson dude already told me as much. [ Speaking up. ] Ain't that right, big guy!

[ This is a thing that's going to be happening a lot. Darcy having one-way conversations with "Coulson". It's fine. ]

They're still hiding the actual base, and creepily watching everyone is still gross.

[Is she being difficult? Is she just still mad? Probably.]

[ Well with that spectacular Sense Motive of 9, Darcy probably thinks its a Thor thing. Mostly because she assumes everything comes back to the spaceman. It's the muscles, isn't it? ]

You're smart. Can't you do a thing that like, blocks cameras and microphones and stuff?

[Most things do, just not this particular thing, for once.]

I think they're probably going to notice me putting something together in their own base. Not to mention after I actually do it. It might be different if we weren't living here.

So? [ I mean she said it aloud, she isn't trying to be sneaky about it. ] They're open about the eavesdropping. Least we can do is be open about ruining their fun.

[She only seems to hesitate for a moment longer before she says:]

That's a good enough reason for me.

[Time to begin plan Break the Security]

That's what I'm talking about. [ Clasping her hands together. ] Okay so. What do we need?

Well, I'll need a motherboard for starters.

[Then she'll just...start listing off parts as she wanders around the lab and tries to collect things.

Oh and she rolled a nat20 check to build this thing so, yep.]

A motherboard. I can do that.

[ I mean... she can totally gank one out of this computer over in the corner? That's legit, right? S.H.I.E.L.D. like to take what they need she's just following their lead.

And yep, Darcy will be over here trying to get this case open. (IDEK wtf to roll for this... Craft Elec 30? or Disable Device 27? Who cares she's stealing a motherboard it's not rocket science and can we talk about how funny it is that Jane Nat 20'd and Darcy rolled a 19 to out-S.H.I.E.L.D. S.H.I.E.L.D.)]

[They're motivated, I guess.]

Alright, I just need to configure the correct wavelengths to counteract the electric signatures being sent to the various devices in the room.

[Tra la la just making stuff up nothing to see here. She stars looking around for various components, wires, that kind of thing.]

[ Darcy stares at her for a long moment, her expression never changing. ]

You're such a nerd. [You couldn't just say? I just gotta do a thing. So many big words Jane.

Really Darcy is just reeling because she totally understood what you just said. ]

[She grins at her friend.]

Takes one to know one.

[That's not how it works at all but she knows Darcy knows exactly what she's talking about. Regardless, she finishes up in record time with that nat 20 from earlier, and hovers her fingers over the controls.]

Ready to give this a go?

Yeah, but when I do it, it's edgy.

[ Unable to contain her smirk. ]

Sorry, Big Guy! We'll still have the lunch room.

[ What? She likes to think he's partial to their 'chats'. ]

Hit that switch.

[She laughs at least, shaking her head before she takes a hold of the control knob.
She looks up at one of the nearby cameras before she turns it sharply.]

Done.

Seee! Fighting the man. Admit it. Feels good, doesn't it?

[ She doubts Coulson will care too much but if it makes Jane feels like she's giving him the middle finger salute? Totally worth it. ]

[She grins widely, lifting her chin slightly.]

Actually, it feels awesome.

See. With your genius and my blatant disregard for authority, we're unstoppable.
