The acting Heads of the Knighthood - Hasmed and Solace - have made a decision that is not easy for many. Given the terrible state of everything happening in America, they've decided to relocate operations entirely to the States, and have secured a facility vaguely near Las Vegas: agreeing to work alongside the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization to find a way to take down Blade. It is certainly possible, with the grim missions that lie before them, that many, or all, of the Knights may never return. Reactions to the announcement are certain to be strong, but it's time to choose what they will bring with them to their new life - and for some, to decide if it's a journey they can bring themselves to take.

Most of the facility is underground, and the Knights are each granted badges that will act as keycards to get them into the barracks area that has been sequestered for them in its own building (called the Enclave), as well as to access the other rooms that are open to their use. It is more or less similar to this, but scaled up in size to account for the larger numbers of people housed on base. There are separate buildings on the base compound for the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (The Sanctuary) and for those members of Hellsing (The Bulwark) who have relocated as well. The entire compound itself is referred to collectively as "The Harbor". Peter Fargason will continue to run training drills daily, attempting to mold the Knights into a more efficient combat unit, and Hasmed, Solace, Koraith, Dovan, and Lis'sa will continue to assign missions to members of the Knighthood, ostensibly aimed towards slowing the tide of monsters and evil doers heading to Los Angeles and protecting Shadowkind in America from the "war on Shadowkind" being waged by the American government, as non-humans are being rounded up as potential threats to the country. Hasmed and Solace have assumed joint leadership of the Knighthood, and appointed no Dragon's Claw to replace either the deceased Sir Bancroft or the now gone rogue Sir Chessing.

Gone is the eclectic decor of the castle rooms, replaced by a much more uniform look to each assigned barracks, which, unfortunately, sleep two to a room because of restraints on space. Feel free to sign up for a roommate on the thread on this post. In fact, everything here is much more polished, state of the art, and modern, which is a jarring change from the castle. How well people adjust may depend on quite a few factors... but for now, they are free to attempt settling in.

Think I could manage. [ is that just bluster or can he really do it or does he not remember but instinctively feels like probably??? we just don't know ]

[ Now it's her turn to size him up... and realize that he's about as easy to read as she is. Between the two of them it's like the damn Sahara, they're so dry. ]

Yeah... I bet you could. [ Not even being sarcastic. ] I'll come find you if they decide they wanna let me play with their toys.

Where'd you learn in the first place?

My grandfather, originally. Cars and airplanes were always kind of his thing.

[ She nods but then says. ]

Mechanic. [ It's barely there, but still visible, a hint of warmth in her eyes. The wry curve of her mouth. ]

And a bit of an adrenaline junkie.

For him it was more about being able to say he made it go that fast.

Mostly. [A wry grin at that. ] What about you?

Guess I like being able to leave when I want.

[ Her eyebrows raise at that and she pointedly looks around the hangar in this very secret underground base that monitors their comings and goings... ]

You must love this place, then.

I'd enjoy watching them try to stop me.

[ Most people say something like that and it's worth little more than an eye-roll. Logan says it, however, and it takes Frankie all of two seconds to take his measure as she gives him a casual once over. ]

Yeah... [ A wry grin pulling at the corner of her mouth. ] I reckon I would too.

[ does he pick up on the phrasing of that? yes. does he pick up on that it's maybe not entirely intentional? nope.

still, it earns a little smirk. ]

You're right though. It's not my favorite set-up. But whatever gets the job done.

[ And does she realise what he picked up on or how he might have taken it? nope. ]

Pretty much. [ No good way to slice it as far as she was concerned. ] Guess it keeps things interesting if nothing else...

[ Because she's pretty sure it's going to end up being a shitshow one way or another because it's hard to picture these three groups really working together for any length of time. ]

Feel like "interesting" follows me around, whether I like it or not. Might as well get used to it.

[ Her only response is the rise of her eyebrows and the slightest jerk of her head at that reveal. Sure, it doesn't seem like much but Frankie is about as emotive as Logan so from her it's as close to an OMFG WHAT as you're ever going to see. ]

That... [Headtilt.] Looks like it would hurt.

[ Whether she means him or whoever would be on the receiving end? We just don't know. That said? Now she definitely wants to see S.H.I.E.L.D. try and stop him from leaving. ]

It does. [ and he'll retract them again, the comment sounding fairly casual given that he just admitted what he did ]

[ She nods once, slowly, absorbing it and apparently accepting every implication before an equally casual reply; ]
