The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Ha ha. [He gives her a little glare.] I just... don't want to screw it up. You know me. I sort of... have a habit of doing that.

That's 'cause you try too hard. [ she pats his arm fondly. ]

You know- I actually didn't. Not on the date, at least. She told me not to impress her, so I didn't. We went to an arcade. Gino's.

You took her to Gino's? [ she looks judgmental. ] Thats brilliant! [ looks can be deceiving. ]

Best date I've been on in a long time. [She grins between them. Sorry, Andrew.] Though I only remember the last year or so, but still.

[She holds a hand out to Ella.]

[ ella stares for a second because ho ly shit, bo is really pretty. which prompts the question, as her hand goes out automatically. ]

Are you blind? [ a beat. ] Wait, sorry, no, that was rude. You're just really pretty and Andrew is... [ mine. ] Andrew.

Ella! [He gives a look like OH MY GOD DON'T YOU DO THIS TO ME... Then he smiles at Bo very nervously.] Ella- this is Ella.

Andrew is sweet and fun. I've been hit on a lot of guys, and let me tell you, the super attractive ones? They're usually assholes, full of themselves, and are more interested in arm candy than actually talking to me.

[She smiles, though her eyebrows are raised.]

Well I know that. [ huffiest of huffs. ] He's my best friend, he's perfect. Most girls don't notice because they're tremendously thick.

[He will just slowly turn red over here and try not to be too offended at the fact that he doesn't qualify as 'super attractive.' The good things that are being said sort of mask that one.]

[Sorry, Andrew. No one is going to say you would be a supermodel.]

[She gives Andrew an expectant look.]

[Stunned by the directness of it, Andrew just stands there, mouth hanging open.]

[ ella nudges him roughly. ] Andrew.

Yes. He means yes. Sometimes our accents make it difficult to decipher, but he means yes.

[She laughs gently, looking between them.]

Well, I won't keep butting into your conversation. [She looks to Andrew.] Call me, find me, whatever. [Then a glance at Ella.] And it was nice to meet you.

[And then she walks away with a grin.]

[Andrew just sort of fumbles nervously until she's already turned away and walking off.]

I'll, uh- I'll talk to you later. [Wow, that was pathetic. He covers his face with one hand and just mutters various curses under his breath.]

I love her.

Yeah? She's pretty awesome, isn't she? [Still perpetually shocked that she said yes to a date (and is now demanding a second basically????)]

[sorceresslite]

She's very forward. Which is probably good because you're so fucking dense you're practically backwards.

[And then Ella perfectly summed up why they're so perfect.]

Would you believe my squire set us up? Sort of.

[Oh yeah. That squire he probably mentioned? Idk how much she was texting him.]

Oh yeah, where is he? [ she looks around like she's going to be able to find him. ] You're supposed to find me a man.

[ a man she doesn't... actually want. ]

Don't think Brantley's your sort. He keeps... hitting on me.

Proper hitting on you like Edain with me? [ she'd have told him all about their crypt adventure and all the flirting. ] Or that one time you thought I was hitting on you but I was just asking you to get something off the top shelf?
