What was supposed to be a night to unwind wound up with a confrontation between Failboat and Keijen Blade that didn't exactly go the way the team was hoping for. However, in the process, they at least managed to get Isabella back and extract Dumage from her long term undercover assignment.

The remainder of the night is spent back at the hotel, recuperating, in order to catch the flight back to London the next morning. This also means saying goodbye to those who will be going back to Chicago: Isabella, Burt, and Rafael.

[ dumage takes one look around at the oversaturation of dragon and arthurian decor, blinks, and then turns around on her heel promptly. ] I need a cigarette. [ she digs around in her purse and frowns, coming up empty, before turning to spike once he gets inside. ] Have a smoke I can borrow, darling?

Course. [He digs around in his coat pocket and pulls out a battered box of smokes. He tosses them to Dumage with a grin.]

[ she catches them expertly with a smile of her own ] Brilliant. [ and then happily pops off outside to enjoy one as gar starts filling out the paperwork to sign out cars for their return trip. ]

[Des paces restlessly, about as impressed with the dragon decor as Dumage was.]

Does he ever let up on the dragon motif?

Have you met Wynn? He's sort of Mr. Extremes.

Ohhhh I've met him. Believe me. [And his sardonic, mocking tone suggests that those meetings were meetings he'd rather forget. It's not that he doesn't like Wynn- he respects the hell out of him. He just... doesn't like the idea of being a knight.]

[hah hah. that's funny coming from you, mark. des gives him a SERIOUSLY?? look that could be a "wow you're cheesy" or a "i have not forgotten you, ashley katchadourian" look.]

[ kat slides off the piano bench, digging in her coat pocket ] Dammit, Dumage, now I just want a smoke. See you outside, peeps. [ and she'll slip out the door too. ]

[Honestly, between talking about Wynn's dragon boner and hanging out outside and smoking, there's really not much question about which Spike would rather do. He stalks off after Kat and Dumage.] I'll be outside too.

[One by one, the npcs (and Spike) wander off. That bodes well........]

I think I might take up smoking, actually.

[OFF HE GOES. tbh he doesn't want to be in here when it occurs to Archer he made out with a dude.]

[ kat is perched on the steps outside, enjoying her cigarette and casting a judgmental gaze up the sidewalk, where dumage is talking to some guy with a wide smile on her face, her smoke dangling from her fingers. he has an athletic build, very short, straight, light brown hair, tan skin, and wears a pastel suit. kat rolls her eyes as dumage notices the others, and disengages herself, digging in her purse to get out a piece of paper to scribble something on and hand to him. he gives her a very interested smile, and then heads off in the other direction, as she sashays back to the others. ]

[Des shoves his hands in his jacket pockets.] First day back and you're already trying to pick up a date?

[SPIKE'S NOT JEALOUS. WHY WOULD SPIKE BE JEALOUS. He reaches around in his pocket before looking up to Dumage and holding out his hand.] Could I get my smokes back?

[ she tosses them at spike, while giving des a Look that says she gives no fucks if you wanna judge her life ]

In case you forgot in your infinite wisdom, I used to live here. He's an old friend. As charming as the company of all of you can be, I do have a life of my own, you know.

Don't think too much of it. People in this group get real weird if you have a life outside it.

[ and gar comes out with erryone else in tow, jangling two sets of keys. ] Well, we have the Bentley, the Aston, and the Rolls-Royce. So three drivers.

And the Rolls. [ oh my god gar suddenly has both of you up in her grill get out. but she doles them out one at a time. ] Finnick, Spike, [ you're the only people i can stand ] keep me company?

[Spike hesitates, looking over at the rest of the group.] I'd love to, but I'm not certain anyone else here can drive.

Wow, speak for yourself. [ she goes to swipe the other set but gar pulls it back, a bit wide-eyed. realization dawns. ] Oh come on, that was one time!!

I haven't destroyed one of Des' cars... [ she holds out her hand and raises her eyebrows. ] Kat can ride shot gun.

... Deal. [ and she'll leap to claim that sucker before anyone else tries. gar will ride with des, actually, because she's afraid kat might hit her in such close quarters after that. even she's not immune, okay. ] Elena! Ride in the cool kids car!
