I did the ritual last month. [There may be a pout hiding in there because he clearly should have been around more last month.]

Neat. Do you still have to take care of her like a normal pet? I'm not really familiar with familiar protocol. [oh that pun tho.]

Yeah, she's still a cat. She's just smarter. And we can sort of...talk.

[ambitionist]

Talk how?

Telepathically. Sort of. We can sort of feel each other. It's a connection between a witch and her familiar. It's actually kind of cool.

Sounds cool. [hematite gets chin scritches. and ear scritches. all the scritches tbh.] I never really had pets. They always seemed like a hassle, and I was never home that often.

I think I might have. [She leans her elbow on the table, chin resting in her palm as she watches him pay attention to this new little extension of her. Yes good.] I can't be certain, but it just feels natural, like I've done it before.

Do you wonder about stuff like that? Like, what happened to your pets after you went through the Veil?

Not really. But I don't remember anything about my life before this place, so I guess that helps. Sometimes I wonder what I was like before, what I had, what I knew.

Cool. If I ever ask anything like that that's too ... I dunno, intrusive or whatever, you can tell me to fuck right off. I just get curious about stuff like that, you know?

It's fine. I don't remember anything, so it's not like there's anything to intrude on. I guess I could lie about it, but I don't really see the point.

[he smiles, continuing to give pets to her cat.] I just have a horrible sense of boundaries. Always have.

Pretty sure boundaries go right out the window after you fuck someone in a bathroom stall. The thought is touching though. [She may be mocking you but only to tease.]

[he just laughs.] See? That's exactly what I'm talking about.

Do I look like I'm complaining? [She leans forward on the table a little.]

I could use a break though. [Gurl you have maybe been here for like an hour.]

Want to keep me company? I'm just headed to the kitchen.

What? Watching your figure? Come on. [She picks her kitten up and sets her on the floor because Faye doesn't carry a bitch. Standing from the table, she gives Alex a look like 'well' and waits until he gets his ass up too before heading off for the kitchen.]

[he takes pity on the kitten and picks it up while they walk to the kitchen. IT'S SO SMALL IT MIGHT GET LOST IN THE CASTLE OR SOMETHING OKAY. spoilers: he's not nearly as much of a badass as he'd like to pretend he is.] Maybe I am. Or maybe I'm not that hungry.

You don't have to be hungry to keep me company. [Also awwwwww he looks so cute with her familiar. Hearts in her eyes. Whoops.]

[yeah he's a regular disney princess tbh. he puts hematite on his shoulder like she's some kind of cat-parrot.] I know that, that's why I'm coming along.
