In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

[Yeah Stiles flops his gangly limbs right out of there so Adam can follow in a... much smoother fashion, probably. He watches Lydia walk off and glances from her to the rest of the group. Are they still all together at this point? Is this where they split up? Uhhhhh???]

[ lila rolls her eyes and waves jaime forward. it would be a waste of time to change and she's pretty sure he can do more damage with that armor than without. if someone needs to be knocked the fuck out, a metal elbow is going to do it. ]

You'll be fine, starshine. I've seen weirder shit on my flights. [ because he's going to the tower and not the terminal. so, reasonably, he could take his sword, but she's not going to bring it up. she gives stiles a little look before setting off after lydia, fishing her phone out of her skirt to order a cookie from sylar, too. ] You're going to need Adam to talk you into the tower, we'll split up after that. Come on.

At the very least, I've noticed that going around in my usual get-up is a good way to attract attention. If need be, I'll work wonders as a distraction.

(look, it's different practicing with sylar, doing it in front of strangers is weird.) she focuses on her black high heels. she needs a pedicure. after a few seconds, she shakes out her hair and looks up. with disguise self, she looks like copy of elena, dressed in clothes elena probably wouldn't wear. with long straight brown hair and big guileless brown eyes instead of her distinctive blue and green ones, the equally distinctive scar gone from her throat, she sure doesn't look like lila. the will save is obv null and void since... you know, they saw her do the thing... (though her disguise check is 46) ]

It's an illusion. [ lila just reaches out and takes stiles' raised hand, pressing his fingertips against where her scar would be. he can still feel it because nothing really changes that aspect. and she still has lila's low, raspy voice. ] I didn't actually borrow her face. Take a picture.

[ lydia raises her phone and does exactly that. snap! ]

It's a good trick, though. If we can find out who you are, could you use it again to replace Elena's travel buddy and slow them down?

If we find them, yeah. [ she is actually 100% sure she can't because elena reads minds? but hell no is she admitting that. (bluff 33) just as suddenly as she was elena, she is tiny blonde lila again.]

[here's sylar 0 minutes late with starbucks. he has superhearing ok he followed her voice. he's carrying their drinks in one of those little carrying trays and also has a cookie in his mouth. her cookie. sorry boo. at least that means he can't say any stupid ass shit rn????]

[ she looks accusingly at lila because who else could the man-bear be here for. he's literally walking right for them and they were expecting someone. that doesn't even require a wis check. ]

[Lydia has officially solidified her spot as most useful person on this mission as far as Adam is concerned (besides himself)--even with Lila's instant makeover ability.

Don't worry, Stiles. Jaime is still last. I mean even the yeti apparently made a decent baggage carrier.]

[ so blunt and, you know, true. they're not the most giving couple in the world, okay. gimme that cookie, mister. she snatches both that and her coffee away from sylar with a cheerful smile. going on an adventure bb. while she drags him along behind the rest of the group she quickly outlines the plan: get stiles, lydia and jaime into air traffic control, roam the departure gates while they try to find doppelgängers in the process of doppelgänging on cctv, find them, replace one or both of them, knock elena the fuck out and drag her back to the castle. nod nod.

[ yeah lydia has been on the road ok. she's been walking them along the terminal. with the traffic control tower in the middle of the property, they can either go through the terminal, or find a way over the fences surrounding the rest of the property. they're passing the terminal entrance right now, so it's time to decide which one. ]

[Adam isn't fucking hopping fences. He told that bitch not to bring his sword and ditch the armor so he's expecting to go in through the terminal. If y'all want to go fucking rogue and really have a hard time keeping off security's radar, then hop the fence and see what happens.]
