[ Two groups stow away on a barge bringing imports onto Andres, aided with invisibility and silence spells.  The members of both groups sneak away from the docks, to congregate between warehouse buildings.  Dean checks his weapon in the dim light, glancing down towards the mouth of the narrow alley, and then glancing back at the other group. ]

Castle can't be more than a half mile.   Odds are that's where Elena's headed too - that or the prison in the woods.  Depends on what they're here for.

[ no matter what it is, dean gets a ... 12. so as he sprints towards the door, it's thoroughly possible that the camera caught him??? we just don't know (tm). once there, he presses into the space close to the door beside rose (hide... 14) and looks over the door. ]

[Much pleased! Rose's contribution to the lock picking would have been a snickers bar because she packs the important stuff.

With the door open she's going to go in first, keeping eyes and ears out for anyone running towards them cause lbr. This has been too easy compared to everyone elses missions. (Lis 23 Spot 22)]

[ it's a kitchen, actually. no cats in sight. the room is dark, but pretty recognizable for what it is by the faint smells of food cooked hours ago. the door on the far side of the room is closed, light visible in the crack beneath it. ]

[And now as Rose moves into the kitchen I'm stuck with thoughts of Cat stew, the Dhampir moving quietly towards the door (MS 17), still keeping an ear out for approaching Guards (Lis 26) as she watches for shadows passing through the light beneath the door (Spot 32.)]

[ there are definitely guards walking by - right at this moment. and they're talking to each other as well, so everyone gets to overhear snatches as they pass by.

[will is going to try to feel them out as they pass by — sense motive 40 for guard 1, sense motive 49 for guard 2. although idk how well it's going to work if he can't see them (?) but w/e people use sense motive over the phone and stuff so /throws arms up like a noodle man]

[ well they rolled an 18 and a 19 and considering he can't see them to pick up body language or anything, i don't think he'd pick up much more than that they were on edge, and talking about whoever this was because they'd just walked out of a situation where they couldn't. #gossip

dean presses an ear to the door, gun drawn, one hand on the handle, and when they're clear, he nods to the others, and glances out, before closing it again with a frown. he whispers: ] The whole thing's one big hallway. Probably runs the whole castle, front to back. Pillars, but it's gonna be easy to move around out there.

[Rose bobs her head, listening to Dean's assessment.] Wwe should probably go one at a time. Keep a little distance between each other just to be safe. [Voice low.

Easier hiding one person behind a pillar as opposed to three and if one gets caught they don't all get caught... Not that anyone here was likely to let that stand. (Wis 18).]

[Rose just gives Dean a look like, You really need to ask before edging in to take the first run.

Opening the door a crack, she checks to see if the coast is clear (Lis 31, Spot 33) annnd if it is, will move as quickly as quietly as she can to the first pillar. (Move Silently 12 AP says 23).]

[ rose makes it quietly across the floor, seeing only the retreating guards' backs as she hears them move into a doorway and up a staircase further down.

dean goes next with a move silently of 18, nodding to rose as he approaches for her to move to the next one (no need to reroll) ]

[move silently nat 20. will is apparently fucking snow falling on cedars over here as he goes last.]

[And this is going to be how they roll pretty much until Arden prompts us for another check cause you can't really talk hiding behind separate pillars and damned if I know how to even begin writing out baseball style hand signals.]

[ a 15 listen check is enough to pick up the footsteps coming from another room, approaching the hall. dean curses under his breath and waves them into another darkened room about halfway down the large hall, ducking in there swiftly. ]

[will catches the footsteps (listen 18) and goes ducking into the room after dean. and definitely not any other words with ucking in them.]

[Spending another action point because hahahah crit fail. With a listen check of 18, Rose picks up on what Dean does and follows him and Will. No yaois for you.

[ they hold still while the other guards or whoever walk by, and a glance around reveals they're in some sort of fancy drawing room, a piano in one corner and a fancy davinci painting on the wall. another door leads out of here on either side, as well as the one back into the hall, and there are large windows that look outside on the opposite wall. various fancy chairs dot the space, which is arranged for 'casual' conversation.

after the coast is clear, dean lets out the breath he was holding and shakes his head. ] We just gonna keep hopping from place to place until what? We see someone wearin' that guard's face? [ plz make wisdom checks also ]

Depends. Going for Sarandis. Going for Bancroft. [ betraying everybody... ] If they're disguised as guards, they might be trying to get close to others, so they can scan their thoughts. Avoiding everyone we hear coming might be the last thing we should be doing.
