Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

The Knight's new section head, Wynn, and their mentor Knight wait up at the front of the room for their approach, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

[will's disguise 17 says ... clearly someone else dressed him. thx abigail. or alice or francesca or anyone with a vagina pretty much. now he is all set to cling to the wall and avoid talking to anyone all night. :) although he is eyeing some of the people in the room with an oddly contemplative face but when is he not doing that tbh. weirdo. ]

[ this is technically lila's party as well, but she refuses to acknowledge that because it implies she was part of this mass promotion bs and that she didn't deserve is a year and a half ago. thanks, eric. regardless, she is dressed to the nines and flouncing about like she owns the place. which is just... normal lila zacharov behavior tbh.

she's not at all pressed that she couldn't invite her dumb best friend to the party because her dumb best friend is being a twatwaffle. :| she also knows her dumb best friend will feel bad that she missed it, so that makes her vindictively happy because she is a horrible person. ain't no shame in her game. ]

[Lydia. That dress. That hair. What. He doesn't turn into a puddle of hormones, though with a very nice will save of 19. Instead, he just flashes her a smile that's probably not what she's used to seeing in response to her approach. It's less goofy and more confident (cha 20 total).]

[He's more of a social butterfly tonight than normal, trying to keep up with the small talk, wanting to get to know his new sect really well. But when there's a lull, he sees Abigail and smiles in a smaller, more private way.]

[ lissa looks a vision and absolutely delighted to have been inducted into her sect. fluttering around she makes a point to meet the clerics already in the sect that she maybe hasn't met yet and graciously thank them for accepting her into their sect.

[ actually all dolled up, alice looks pretty if understated, bright red hair free and wavy around her shoulders, held back from her face with a "headband" made out of tiny braids pinned into place.

she barely knows anyone here, or in the castle in general, considering she was barely squired before she went off to war. now, freshly knighted, she's reminded of how out of her depth she is. parties were her sisters' deal -- triple h would feel very at home here, whereas alice is just sipping a water and huffing because her 24 HOUR STAIN PROOF BASICALLY PERMANENT lipstick was a crock of shit and is now gracing her glass.

[ fluttering over like a shy butterfly, abigail zooms right to will's side. so many knighting ceremonies, so many times she needs to have make up applied to her cheek. she said fuck it today and let alex rest his make up brushes (probably stolen from lila), because she knows she's only going to see will and then... hang out with the dogs so she doesn't have to run into anyone else.

[ abigail is a gr8 date. because she's way more focused on the food and cora than other people. because ew, other people. except jaina. and fred jr. she moves back over to cora's side and holds out the plate that she has piled with one of every food.

every food that isn't meat. ] I think they have mead. Actual mead. From Robin Hood mead.

[ maybe robin hood was a knight. she wouldn't be surprised after king arthur tbh. ]

[ As far as her ornamentation is concerned, Lydia has never looked more like she belongs in this sect (nat 20 disguise). She's beautiful on an average day: tonight, she's a knockout, smiling and fondly chatting with and complimenting.

At least, until she notices who Stiles has invited and spent a good deal of the night with. She drains her wine glass, setting it aside on the nearest flat surface and doing a generally good job of giving the impression that she's not watching them. Or caring (bluff 38). Huff puff.

They hadn't talked about it. As far as she's concerned, he'd hardly given her a chance to process, let alone consider how she felt, and then they were at war, and he was— She's seen new sides to him since they got here. She doesn't quite know what to make of it. Somewhere along the way, he'd become one of her best friends, and that required care and thought.

Or she thought it did.

Luckily, she'd invited her share of friends. Jackson, Allison, Adam, Will, Max, Adi, Helen, Rose, Sydney, Sam, Bambi, etc. Right now, she's wishing she'd invited Damon, though. ]

[Adam had taken her up on that invite, if only because he knew like half of the people being promoted to this sect, and hey a party was a party--though this party was turning out to be a little too low-key for his taste.

Everyone really stepped it up with their nat 20's though, so when he spots Lydia he decides to head over and congratulate her on both her promotion and looking banging as fuck tonight. He'd probably do the same to everyone else he recognized afterward, but since she had gone out of her way to actually invite him to this thing, she got first compliment.]

Wow. I think you just blew away any potential competition you might have had tonight. [Which is sort of funny when you figure that, haha, no she didn't because Abigail was still here. It was only supposed to be a compliment though, not a commentary on her Disney Channel notromance with Stiles.]

[ She grabs a fresh wine glass off a passing tray, turning away from the waiter to size Adam up. Reaching up, she brushes her fingertips over the neat bump of her hair, ensuring there are no fly-aways. Rather than admit her real uncertainty, she deflects. ]

I didn't realize I was at risk of actual competition in the first place.

[He'd expect nothing less from Lydia "abrasive as fuck" Martin. Fortunately, Adam has gotten kind of used to her by now so he doesn't even let it faze him at this point. Plus, right now especially, she kind of had room to talk.]

My mistake. [For the record, his disguise check was a 20 total, so not bad but he isn't fucking stepping out like these bitches. But then it's not his party either he was just here for moral support.]
