Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

The Knight's new section head, Wynn, and their mentor Knight wait up at the front of the room for their approach, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides. Of course, when Wynn speaks, people still hush. It's just how he rolls.

[ with a 24 disguise check, cordelia looks totally bangin' in a dress that hugs her curves and displays all that cleavage she was talking to stiles in detail about. she is certainly glad to hog the spotlight, and talk to everyone. ]

[Felicity is also on a mission to make acquaintances with everyone in the room, even if this is not her sect. It's a lot of people she doesn't know so she's going to try and to at least get names and faces for everyone she can.

Alternatively, be distracted by pretty dresses, of which Cordelia is wearing one.]

[ cordelia grins at the compliment, but then waves a hand, as if to play it off. ] What, this old thing? I just threw it on when I couldn't make up my mind after the ceremony. [ uh huh ] But I love those shoes! Did you have them dyed?

[ vi is here because stiles invited her, but she can't help but be drawn to cordelia because she looks like a giant sparkle and vi loves shiny things. so she butterflies over. get it? butterfly. i'm so droll. ANYPOODLE. ]

Stiles is stoked as fuck about this and working the room to try to meet as many people as possible.]

[ No matter how good Lydia looks with her very own nat 20 (~romance~), she still gives a moment's pause upon seeing Stiles, her breath fluttering as she blinks, like she can't believe it's him for a moment.

The moment, like most, is quickly squashed in favor of a stone cold exterior that she likes to keep up on principle. ]

[ Though she mitigates her thirst, she certainly doesn't fully quash the surprise to see him in the same sect as her. The attempt to do so is about as plain on her face as the surprise leaking through. ]

[ abigail will be having no knighting ceremony of her own, but she's happy enough to watch stiles and and alex and cora's. and will's. (which is admittedly the one she cares about the most because will.) BUT STILES IS ALSO IMPORTANT OK. she waits for him to mill around and receive his well deserved congratulations, tugging on the ends of her hair.

[Wow. This is totally fancy and not like the Hide at all. It's a good thing he continues to let Lissa dress him (disguise 20 total). He's getting to the point where he recognizes what she'll approve of and what she won't so he can (somewhat) do it on his own, but that doesn't always stack up in his favor. He's dumb about fashion, always.

That being said, it's Stiles's knighting, and he's trying to make a good impression. He makes his way over once the party starts and places a hand on his shoulder gently.]

[Felicity is wandering over, all smiles as she catches up to the second of her favorite people at this party (the first being Lila).]

[ vi looks like she tried and then got distracted halfway through by pie or something. her hair is its usual messy curls, she's given up trying to tame that beast. but she bounces over to stiles with a smile and grabs him in a hug. ]

[ as promised, francesca shows up to stiles' knighting ceremony only fashionably late. she smiles when she spots him, and she's just as proud of his nat 20 disguise check as she is his promotion. this being a dragon's tongue party, she knew to come dressed to impress (disguise 37, or 47 if boobs are your thang), and waits a moment to catch his attention before approaching. ] I always make it a priority to introduce myself to the most well-dressed man in the room.

[alex got a disguise 15, so his dress pants and button down say he started to give a fuck and try ... and then he gave up. whoops. and now he's leaning against a wall texting only god knows who. clearly an a+ dragon's tongue over here.]

[So chatty. Very impressed. Felicity will saunter her way over at some point, drink in hand, taking a break from the rest of the room. When she glances over, there's a quick once over before she breaks the ice.]

Words with Friends? Or is it that drawing one that I'm completely terrible at.

[ this is technically lila's party as well, but she refuses to acknowledge that because it implies she was part of this mass promotion bs and that she didn't deserve is a year and a half ago. thanks, eric. regardless, she is dressed to the nines and flouncing about like she owns the place. which is just... normal lila zacharov behavior tbh.

she's not at all pressed that she couldn't invite her dumb best friend to the party because her dumb best friend is being a twatwaffle. :| she also knows her dumb best friend will feel bad that she missed it, so that makes her vindictively happy because she is a horrible person. ain't no shame in her game. ]

[Felicity looks fabulous, as per usual, but not as fabulous as Lila, because she is a good date and not about to upstage the guest of honor (disguise 27). Lila would kill her if she tried. This is basically as good as she can look without a nat 20 to help her out, so enjoy, rest of the party.

But right right now she's taking her drink and scanning the room, prepared to be an excellent date, but she needs a little intel first as aside from Stiles, Lila and Elena she doesn't actually ... know anyone in Dragon's Tongue.]

[ As far as her ornamentation is concerned, Lydia has never looked more like she belongs in this sect (nat 20 disguise). She's beautiful on an average day: tonight, she's a knockout, smiling and fondly chatting with and complimenting.

At least, until she notices who Stiles has invited and spent a good deal of the night with. She drains her wine glass, setting it aside on the nearest flat surface and doing a generally good job of giving the impression that she's not watching them. Or caring (bluff 38). Huff puff.

They hadn't talked about it. As far as she's concerned, he'd hardly given her a chance to process, let alone consider how she felt, and then they were at war, and he was— She's seen new sides to him since they got here. She doesn't quite know what to make of it. Somewhere along the way, he'd become one of her best friends, and that required care and thought.

Or she thought it did.

Luckily, she'd invited her share of friends. Jackson, Allison, Adam, Will, Max, Adi, Helen, Rose, Sydney, Sam, Bambi, etc. Right now, she's wishing she'd invited Damon, though. ]

[Adam had taken her up on that invite, if only because he knew like half of the people being promoted to this sect, and hey a party was a party--though this party was turning out to be a little too low-key for his taste.

Everyone really stepped it up with their nat 20's though, so when he spots Lydia he decides to head over and congratulate her on both her promotion and looking banging as fuck tonight. He'd probably do the same to everyone else he recognized afterward, but since she had gone out of her way to actually invite him to this thing, she got first compliment.]

Wow. I think you just blew away any potential competition you might have had tonight. [Which is sort of funny when you figure that, haha, no she didn't because Abigail was still here. It was only supposed to be a compliment though, not a commentary on her Disney Channel notromance with Stiles.]

[With a disguise of 21, Helen might still turn a few heads, even though this isn't her party. She's here to support her squire and to congratulate the other new members of the diplomatic sect.]

So... does it feel any different? [She's found that it does for some and not for others. Her smile has that same maternal warmth it always has.]
