[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of these few months. Because not everyone is into parties, ok. Characters participating in the following missions are asked to wait until their missions have concluded before tagging into things that take place chronologically after said missions: Ravenloft, Shadow Bermuda, and City of Blood If you aren't certain if that applies to you, please ask! [ so IT'S ALEX'S BIRTHDAY! and to celebrate his old lady status, lila stomps into his room around noon (because she loves him enough to let him sleep late) and wakes him up by throwing a wet suit at him.

yep.

she bounces on to the bed soon after, after putting his large cup of starbucks on the nightstand. the throwing is soothed, hopefully, when she rubs her cheek against his shoulder all cuddly and kitten-like. ]

[any excitement he would feel over having a shark is clouded by grogginess and confusion. a giant heap of wtf, really. he doesn't even sit up, just stares at her like] ... What? You're shitting me.

Yeah, I threw a wet suit at you just to really drive it home that I'm messing with you. Come on. [ she scoots back a little so he has more room to not lay down. ] Up, up, up! If you don't want to swim with sharks I'm going to give it to someone you don't like.

That's good, maybe the sharks'll eat them instead. [bitchiness aside, he's sitting up, ok. and grabbing his starbucks. mmm caffeination.]

Well, if that's what you want... what was that girl in India called? Udinov. She can go instead. [ literally someone he doesn't like. she was serious. ] Swimming with great whites and nurse sharks and sand tiger sharks while you sit here like a pussy.

I — what? [let the waves of realization wash over him.] Where the fuck'd you even get sharks?

At the aquarium, duh. I made a very generous donation and well, they were just tripping over themselves to offer me something in return. [ her chin juts up proudly, smug as shit. she did good. ] You'll get scuba certified in a safe environment and next time we can go to Australia to use a cage on the reef.

What the fuck. Really? [he might take a little while to fully accept this lmao.]

Yes. And the best part is that the aquarium is partnered with the company in Australia that chips the sharks so we can swim with sharks we actually followed on the internet.

[ambitionist]

That's fuckin' crazy. [wtf??]

Right! [ she's so delighted. ] So hurry up and put pants on.

[ambitionist]

Yeah, yeah. [he crawls out of bed in his boxers and t-shirt, shoving the wet suit to the side.] I'm really swimming with sharks?

[ she flops back into the warmth he's left behind. ] You are really swimming with sharks. No gift will ever begin to compare, I've ruined you forever.

[ambitionist]

[while going through his closet to find pants.] You're nuts. What the fuck? [he probably says wtf like fifty more times while getting dressed. this is how he expresses excitement ok.]

[bittersweeter]

[ she's pm marking her territory. this is how she pees on people. ruins their lives with presents no one can compare to so every time he opens a gift he'll be like "this is great, but remember that time i pet chomper underwater?" ]

[once he's in jeans and a different t-shirt, he's like] Is this okay? [like he's going on a date with the sharks. /rolls eyes at him.] Do I actually need the wet suit or was that some weird symbolic thing?

You actually need the wet suit. [ she rolls off the bed, smoothing down her dress as she straightens up. ] It's part of the scuba training.

[ moving forward, she climbs her fingers up his chest. ] You look fine, unless you're looking to seduce the shark, in which case I would suggest a plain white tee shirt.

[ambitionist]

[he snorts at her.] Don't be dumb. [but also moves to grab the wetsuit off the bed.]

You're the one dressing up for sharks.

[bittersweeter]

[ her eyebrows lift teasingly. ] Come on, I'm driving. [ off she trots la de da. ]

[he follows after her, teasing] Are you? That's horrifying.

[bittersweeter]

Oh shut up, I would never hurt my baby. [ she loves her precious spitfire. ]

So you have to take like a two hour class, but then you get to swim with them and feed them if you want. [ maybe not that last part, she might have imagined it, but w/e. they can feed penguins. ]
