[And when he isn't delivering up his own special brand of musical stylings at the front desk, Adam can be found in the library being studious as fuck, at the firing range trying to get down this marksmanship thing so he can actually fucking shoot things that try to kill him, or dipping out on the caste scene altogether assuming he can get anyone to go into the city with him--when he isn't trying to get Tia to teach him new things that he can't really learn on his own or practice with just anyone.

And sometimes he just kind of lounges around areas of the castle with heavy traffic, "reading" or "people watching" when really he is probably reading y'all's thoughts so make a will save to see if he can get in your head and get the deets. In any of these scenarios, he might have a little black cat named Venus with him which he may or may not be petting because she is a diva and demands a lot of his attention, so you can ignore and bypass his cuteness entirely to focus on hers if you really wanted to.

[ Adi's doing some actual people watching. And cat watching, apparently, since he's idly wondering how much that little black cat might sell for (will: 6 haha ha). Emphasis on idly, he's not seriously going to try to take someone's cat. Even he has limits.

Yeah that's it, not actually saying hi or anything. Legitimately checking out your cat and ignoring you. Otherwise he's distracted by watching the other people passing through and wondering what the hell he's doing here. Nicer than his last flat, though. ]

[Wow because that doesn't pin you as a potential psycho or anything, bro. Adam reaches over to scratch behind one of Venus' ears, and just kind of stares at this guy for a few hot seconds. When he's certain he has never seen the dude before, he speaks up to address him.]

[ Adi's looking elsewhere when he speaks up, so there's a slight delay while it registers that he's speaking to him. Or he takes his time, in any case, giving him a curious glance before he responds.

Ignoring the cat this time, though. ] That obvious?

[ It's super obvious, he's aware. He doesn't wait for an answer, though he does step over and offer a hand in formal greeting. ] Adi Laskaris.

Adam Weiss. [Hopefully Adi wasn't expecting Adam to stand up and greet him properly when shaking his hand. Because he doesn't. He does shake his hand though, which causes Venus to look up and see who is responsible for the sudden lack of petting going on here.]

So what do you do? [Cutting right to the chase. Let's just ignore the fact that they seem to let anyone wander in off the streets. Adam was here because he had a specific talent, so he expects the same to be true of everyone else. It really isn't though...]

[ abigail is getting her shooting on. not with the excalibur, though eventually she may attempt that, but with her trusty rifle. fred isn't around to tease her, so i guess that's up to adam. and she's so focused on shooting that she doesn't think about anything else, which is a nice rest for her brain.

and for adam's, really, because do you really want to know what this girl is thinking? no. but her will save was a six, so feel free to get all up in there. are the burgers people, adam, ARE THEY??? they might be. enjoy the cannibalism paranoia. she's going to stick to her bagels. bagels are probably not people. (god, they might be.) ]

[Luckily for Abigail (and himself, he doesn't need those thoughts ok), Adam isn't actively attempting to read people's minds at the shooting range. Believe it or not, he's actually there to legitimately learn how to fire a gun so that he can kill some bitches.

But since I rolled an 11 for his ranged attack, his shit is pretty basic. He hits the target occasionally, but it could just be dumb luck like any average Joe who randomly picked up a gun and started shooting it. Shit was frustrating as hell tbh, so he affords a glance over to the girl beside him to see how she's doing.]

[ she's doing a little better (atks 16, 20 total, and 14), but then her rifle runs out of bullets because it only holds five so she safeties it, sets it down and stoops to collect the spent shells on the ground by her feet. while she's crouched down she pushes her earmuffs off and rubs her ear gently. poor ear. she glances up to see adam and smiles just slightly. ] Hi.

Have you ever seen the Patriot? Aim small, miss small. [ those are her tips. aren't they swell? setting the casings on the shelf next to her gun, she turns to face him and... holds out her hand for his weapon. ] Can I see?

No. And my dad was always pretty sleazy about it, so I was brought up hearing the exact opposite, actually. You know how most parents praise their kids for working hard and getting straight A's? Yeah. In my house straight A's didn't mean jack if you didn't infiltrate someone's else's head to get them.

[ Lydia has literally no mental defenses, apparently (will 11). If she ever did, Peter Hale basically crazed her into losing all of them. She comes back into the castle with a few department store shopping bags, spotting him just outside the front gates. She tilts her head, brow furrowing at the sight of him with that cat. She’s grown used to familiars, but psions don’t need them.

Approaching, she sets the bags down on the edge of the steps a few higher than where Adam sits, and she crouches to offer her hand to the cat. ]

Why are you just sitting out here?

[ It’s creepy. Why does she always gravitate towards creepy? First that (super hot) vampire—if Adam turns out to be some weird lurker loser too, she’s gonna lose the last of her marbles. These are all running mental commentary ftr. ]

Her hand stops mid-pet at Adam's last remark, and it's 100% unclear if she's so frozen at the fact that Adam is calling Stiles her friend (ahahahahaha) or if she's concerned that someone messed with him.

If we're being honest, it's probably 50/50. ]
