[Felicity is not normally ones for late night cravings, but when she does have them she tends to go whole hog. Which is why she's currently sitting in the kitchen with a tub of Moose Tracks ice cream and forcibly attached to her phone.

She's still trying to get a hold of some of her Shadowkind friends. Even if she doesn't think that they were into that particular band, so they're probably fine, Felicity's obsessive when it comes to making sure the people she loves are alive.

It's a thing. She's lost too many as it is.

Feel free to interrupt any time, Lila. Otherwise she's going to eat that half gallon all by herself.]

[ man, felicity is going hardcore at that ice cream, like take a breath, woman. lila herself gives no fucks about anyone in new york (well maybe alex's family and his not-girlfriend but they're normal...ish... she will google search the bodies once they're identified) so she's only feeling the impotent rage from someone fucking with her city. you don't fuck with new york. not again. that's a specific to new york natives rage though -- it's their city.

but felicity is mainlining the ice cream like her babu died and she got cut out of the inheritance. ] Hey, you okay?

[She glances up from being a temporary ice cream vacuum and flashes Lila a smile. Yeah, she's totally fine.]

Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay. Just ... the whole thing with New York has me a little on edge.

[And by little she means a lot.]

[bittersweeter]

Yeah. A little. [ she believes you like she believes the sky is pink. she plunks down on the chair next to felicity without even asking and steals a spoonful of ice cream. ] Need company?

[She takes a deep breath and she nods, shifting so that the carton of ice cream is between them.]

I have a lot of Shadowkind friends in New York.

[bittersweeter]

[ she sighs a little. it's not her city, but... ] Need any help looking for them?

[She shakes her head.]

I've got people on it. It was just a couple hours of worry, so I'm winding down with ice cream and maybe sleep.

[bittersweeter]

[ that makes sense. lila wound down with yelling and smoking, so she feels felicity's feels. scooping up some ice cream, she taps her spoon against the other woman's like cheers. ] We'll get by. Always do.

[She nods in agreement. She's built her life on making sure she can get by. Now people she cares about are losing those they care about, and she hates that there still seems to be so much death in her life.

She's starting to get a little sick of it.]

It's kind of my specialty.

You and me both. [ lila may not have nine lives, but she gets out of everything by virtue of not being dumb as a brick. also, you know, pragmatic homicidal teenager = basically invincible.

[She smiles a bit at that, before taking another spoonful of her ice cream.]

I'm sure things will work themselves out, but it was just ... a lot all at once.

Yeah. [ she nods but decides to focus on the ice cream. silent solidarity. she'll just hang out with felicity until felicity is ready to go to sleep. ]
