abigail ducks out of the way of the flying knife (reflex save 17), but stoops to retrieve it from wherever it landed. she gets the feel of it before she moves over to the girl trying to be one with the mats. ] I think you might want to try using a different kind of knife. [ a beat. ] Or throw them in the firing range.

Finally she doesn't maim somebody or their clothing!

Kenzi peeks over her shoulder before letting out an exaggerated sigh of relief, swinging herself into a sitting position with her legs spread out before her, shoulders sagging.]

I'm thinking I might just stick to crossbows... [Less user error... in theory.] At least when they lose a fight with a wall there's less near death for yours truly.

[ with her free hand, she pulls a hunting knife out of the pocket of her shorts and flicks it open so casual like its nbd to carry around a knife that could gut a deer. or a person. she compares the weight of the two in her hands, thoughtful. ] Maybe try this one. It's blade heavy, so it could give you more control. [ her hand shifts to grip the handle and she winds up like a baseball pitcher, flinging it at kenzi's target after double checking to see if anyone is around. (atk 23) maybe she was right. ] Like... that.

[See, unlike Kenzi who was totally bluffing when she looked like she knew what she was doing? Blade girl here actually looks like she knows what she's doing.

The baseball pitcher flair totally seals it.]

See, I totally did that... kinda... Sort of. [She didn't.] Can I try?

Uh, sure. [ she walks forward to wriggle the knife out and passes it over to kenzi. sharing is caring. she does take a small step away though, so kenzi would have to move if she decided to suddenly stab abigail or something. can't be too safe when you have bad luck around people holding knives... ]

[Kenzi bounces on her heels as Abigail returns with the knife, assuming the stepping aside had more to do with Kenzi's last attempt than anything else as she tests the weight of the knife in he hand.

Attempting to mimic Abigail's pitcher-style movies, Kenzi winds up, gets ready to send the knife flying but not before shouting;

Fire in the hole! As the knife sails towards the target. (Atk 16)]

Hell yeah I didn't... maim anyone this time. [Totally something to celebrate.]

[ abigail is just a really good teacher. first adam, now this girl. that should probably be disconcerting, that's she's kind of good at teaching other people how to kill people.

she steps forward as that uncomfortable realization flutters across her expression and pries the knife free again. by the time she turns back to kenzi and holds out the knife, her face is clear. (will save 14) ] You should try again. Just in case that was beginner's luck.

Oh I'm like, ninety-nine-point-nine percent sure that all this is ass over class but I'm still willing to own it as my awesome.

[Kenzi oblivious to anything other than her own spin as she takes the knife again.

She might be overplaying the pitcher wind up this time round because it hits the wall and sticks but, with less certainty than her last attempt (Atk 13)]

I... [Head tilting to one side.] At least I look good while I'm doing it?!

Hitting is better than missing. [ just in general, abigail figures that is true. in... everything. maybe not driving. abigail flings the other knife and it digs into the wall with a thunk. (atk 19) ]

They have tutorials on youtube. [ this is how abigail learned tbh. she goes to retrieve the two knives from the wall. ] They have tutorials for a lot of stuff on youtube.

Probably. [ annnnnd abigail doesn't know who to ask, so she just teaches herself. or watches will teach adam. ] I used to know someone who was good at knifes. I just watched him.

There had to somebody in the world who would [Get along with Gordon Ramsay (PCK 18).] See I like the whole, knife thing. Makes you silent but deadly. It's a lot like gas. The big noisy things sound super impressive but it's the other kind that can kill you.

You have to aim really well though. Otherwise you don't get any of the good parts. [ good parts = vital organs. abigail learned how to bypass the vital organs which worked just as well in teaching her how to hit them as well. learning murder anatomy is what makes her good at first aid, too. if you know how to hurt something, you know how it heal it. ]

[ again kenzi gets that little side eye like abigail isn't sure how she's supposed to take that. mostly it's the word choice, specifically, because she asked hannibal is she was a sociopath and he said no, she was a survivor, but one of her big worries is that she'll wind up like her dad. so...
