[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there.   There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

[ someone knows you are here. she knows because she is a permafixture of the library and faye is not. ]

You hate the library.

[ she says it as she drops a book on the table in front of faye. and yes, it is a book pertaining to faye's particular topic of study recently. after a while she just started watching where faye went and then poking at the stacks once faye left.

her palms flatten against the table and she lifts her eyebrows, question unspoken but plain as day. are you going to spill or is she going to have to make you? ]

[Faye looks up smoothly, not jumping in her seat. She has Lila sense. Or she wasn't as into her reading as she wants people to believe.

Doing research is boring her out of her skull. Even when it's a subject she's choosing to study.]

Hate is a strong word.

[An accurate one too. But Faye just reaches for the book Lila brought.]

Must have missed that one.

[No explanation, though. She's just buying time at this point.]

[ her arms cross as she straightens up and her hip juts out, everything in her posture suggests expectancy. ] So?

[She folds her hands over the books clasping them in front of her.]

Jordan's a genie. I'd like to know more about what that entails.

[ what, you think she didn't read the book before she gave it faye? pls. so far she doesn't look too pressed, just mildly confused. ]

He's so... Do you know what kind he is? Because I'm pretty sure the djinn in this world are different from the ones in, I dunno, yours probably or like Sam's. Is Jordan even from this world?

[ sam. he's smart and nerdy. she should find him once she susses out more of what faye is up to. because not for a second do she think research is it. ]

I think he is. He doesn't talk about coming through the Veil or his family coming through. In fact, all he's told me is that his dad? Is apparently the king.

[She taps the book like that's just the most important part.]

[ lila bursts out laughing, rolling her eyes as she pulls up a chair to join faye at the table. ]

I still win. [ she pauses for a second, laughter stilling, wondering if now is the time to mention her and sylar's little five year plan. she decides that it's not, so she focuses on jordon again. ]

Genie implies wishes.

You caught that, huh? [Any glance at the books she has open or her notes scribbled down would make it clear that she's been interested in that as well.]

I figure the more I can learn about him, the better prepared I'll be to take the next step in our relationship.

I don't think you need to google genies to climb into his pants, Faye. Or do you need a refresher in sex ed?

[ there is that lift of her eyebrows again as she pulls out her phone and her fingers start sliding across the screen. ] I'm going to ask Sam what he knows. Why do research when they make nerds who will do that for you?

[ lila, don't abuse the dragon's hoard... ]

[She makes a small motion to protest, but stops herself and sits back in her chair. The more people involved in this, the more complicated it was going to get. But telling Lila to stop and let her research on her own? Would only draw more attention. So Faye sits nervously and tries to play it cool.]

[ because they are best friends IT DOES NOT OCCUR TO LILA TO NOT TAKE FAYE AT HER WORD. instead she shrugs and sends out her texts. she's asked sam enough strange questions she doubts it will be so incredibly out of the blue and dean will just learn to get used to her thirst. ]

Okay, fine, but can't you just ask him this shit? [ as if faye hasn't caught lila researching psions because of sylar before. pot meet kettle. ]

Because men are usually known for being incredibly forthcoming about shit like this? Besides, maybe I wanted to surprise him by just knowing this stuff without needing him to play teacher.

[ it's only a little patronizing, really. but in the way all of their compliments to each other are a little patronizing because they're a pair of bitches. she shifts to prop her feet on the table, unbothered that she's wearing a skirt, and crosses one leg over the other. her head drops back to rest against the back of the chair, holding her phone up overhead to keep texting. ]

Are you going to surprise him by asking for a wish, too?

[ her lips press together as her eyes flicker over the texts. ] As much as I hate to admit it, she's right.

Maybe. [She doesn't sound all that convinced.] Any news from your boy wonder?

Bad news bears. Apparently Djinn only make the wishees think they're getting their wish in a killer hallucination while they drain them dry of blood until they die.

[Well, Faye's research roll was single digits which means she's been mostly hoping for this stuff to just... soak in via osmosis. Or just watching Aladdin on repeat idk.

But she doesn't know enough to say Lila's info is wrong or not so she just... believes it.]

That's fucked up. I mean... Jordan doesn't really give off a crazy serial killer vibe.

It sort of happened on Andres. I didn't even know what it was, but-- I haven't... given it back yet.
