[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.
Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there. There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!
You are encouraged to start your own threads and tag around, and feel free to threadjack into any on-going threads that aren't specified as 'closed' in the subject lines since people can enter into rooms even in the middle of what's going on. WE ARE BIG ON THREAD-JACKING HERE. You can also specify 'single thread', meaning you want only one response for all participants, rather than multi-thread, where a number of different scenes/threads can be done as replies to the top prompt.]

Rose ] ❉ [ London & Andres (ota)
London
[While in London, she shocks anyone who's ever met her by actually spending some time in the stacks of the library though from the looks of frustration, cussing and key-smashing that occurs, it's safe to say that Rose usually avoids places like this for a reason. If you miss her kicking bookshelves, you might catch her googling herself instead. She'll swear black and blue she has a really good reason for it okay!]
Andres
[Back on Andres though, Rose tries to make up for those time when she's away by working twice as hard on the rebuild front and while she's painfully aware that there are people wandering around who can wave a fricken hand and levitate ten times as many rocks as she can shift in less than half the time it takes her to do, she's a stubborn ass and she knows to play to her strengths. Rose is not somebody you want getting to know the locals if the idea is to make them feel more at ease and not less.
In her downtime she's with Dean or she's training, the latter of which has seen her pick up a little shadow; a girl who can't have been more than Ten who has taken to showing up whenever Rose is sparring or practicing with her stake. While at first the little girl seems content to just watch, the questions start in soon after and before long, you might happen to find Rose teaching the little girl how to throw a punch. #responsibleadult.]
Free For All
[With Rose moving between the two places she's not too hard to either track down or stumble across so feel free to set something up and I'll hit it back.]

Which squires have been assigned to which knights isn't exactly a secret, and after talking with both Salvatore brothers, feeling out the emotions their presences evoked inside her, she'd been curious. It didn't take much digging, of course, and Elena wasn't exactly...overwhelmed with happiness by Wynn's choice.
Not that Wynn could have possibly known, but you know.
Either way, it's going to be impossible for Rose to get by her without brushing shoulders or doing some awkward maneuver to get by, and she's...not moving.
At least her posture and expression aren't malicious. She's not here to fight. Hopefully it doesn't come to that.]
no subject
See Rose spot? See Rose turn and walk away.]
no subject
Are we going to do this for the next century? Because that's going to get old real fast. I do still live here, if you hadn't noticed.
[She came in peace. Now she's pissed.]
We might as well just get this over with, because we're talking about this, whether you like it or not. And frankly, on the off chance you and I get thrown on the same mission someday? I'd like to not have to worry about you refusing to even speak to me.
no subject
Say what you've got to say then. [As if to suggest she has nothing. Bullshit of course. Rose always had plenty to say but she's been waiting for weeks to hear something out of Elena. The whole reason she's avoided it is because she knows she's probably not going to like what she hears.]

As he pulls up a chair next to her, he silently hopes that the decent convo he had with his brother carried over to her after the whole squiring ceremony.]
What are you trying to look up? Maybe I can help?
[Then he spots her...own name in the search bar.]
Are you...looking up yourself?
[Tact. Sam has it. Not today.]
no subject
She eyes him cautiously, kind of like she expects him to suddenly sprout horns, tension vibrating through her body, eyes narrowed as his words finally hit her and it takes her a second to completely catch up, Rose too busy trying to decide if he's actually trying to help her or if he's up to something.]
What?! No - [Yes. Cheeks flushing.] It's research! [Without doubt the first time Rose has ever said those words and it's been true.] You're the one who wants us to buy into the whole, parallel universe crap.
[Believe it or not, she actually does believe he's not trying to be a dick. (SM 27). This is just... Rose.]
no subject
But he's got a plan of action that doesn't entirely involve complete patience, and Dean can suck it if he doesn't like it. He said to give him time, not to stop digging on his own.]
Yeah, well, from what I understand this kind of thing is like...really rare, or we wouldn't be having this problem in the first place.
[He's pretty sure googling herself is only going to be something she thinks she can use as ammo against what he knows to be true.]
no subject
[What? Rose? Issues??? Never!]
And as for rare? Try damn near non existent. The only case of what you're saying that I can even find? I can't exactly go back a million years to confirm with anyone who knew the original.
[On the flipside, maybe, if Sam uses his wisdomy skills... he might realize that Rose actually is looking for something, anything that could prove (or disprove) this might be real. It's ya know. Something.]

Remember what I said about your thumb? [She takes her hand and re-positions her fingers for her.] If you tuck it in like before, you're gonna hurt yourself more than you hurt them.
[Moving back and putting her hands out once more.]
Try again - [This time when the fist connects, Rose is the one who looks surprised, a wry half grin pulling at the corner of her mouth as the girl throws her whole weight behind the punch. It's sloppy but it's got some kick and hey, she's ten.]
There ya go, better? [An emphatic nod from the girl who looks so very pleased with herself right now.]
Where do I aim?
Depends on what you want to do.
[The little girl thinks about that for a moment, mirroring Rose's stance with her hands on her hips.]
Punch them?! [She may in fact be Rose at that age.]
Well... yeah. [At least Rose manages not to laugh or be too sarcastic.] But, why do you want to punch them?
Because he's stupid and he's mean and he's always getting me into trouble!
no subject
no subject
That's a - [Refocusing on the little girl.] Pretty good reason to want to hit somebody if you ask me. [Most responsible.] But if he's always getting you into trouble... I'm thinking you don't want to leave a mark...
[Rose's new shadow looks utterly disappointed at that, Rose again having to swallow her amusement as she signals for Dean to give her a moment.]
So you should probably go for the gut punch. [What?! She's helping.] Stomach, right here. [Indicating on herself.] That way, you won't leave any bruises and, he'll be too winded to chase you. [Rose so matter of fact that it comes as a shock to nobody that she'd done that more than once in her life.]
Wanna give it a try? [Dean should have picked up on the wicked curve of her lips and seen this one coming a mile away.] Hey Dean!
[The little girl finally notices him and takes a step back. It's probable that Dean is about three times the size of the person she really wants to hit.
Rose drops her voice to a pantomimed whisper.] Trust me, you got this. Just go for the gut and then?
Run?
Exactly. [Back to Dean.] Think you could help us with something? [Rose's grin widening as she drags him into her afternoon corruption of minors, whether he likes it or not.]

Helen finds her one evening when she's training alone- or at least without any other knights. The little girl is certainly free to come around, should she choose.]
I hope you don't mind an interruption.
no subject
Helen was, well? Hers. She had become the person Rose felt she could turn to, somebody she could be completely honest with. She didn’t have to be brave or hide what was going on in her head or heart, at least, until now. Of course, nothing really had to change but given the role Dean played in her life and now the role Helen played in Dean’s? Everything just became complicated, at least in the mind of a twenty year old who was dealing with her fair share of complications lately.
Training was one of the rare times of the day when Rose could push everything out of her head, focus on the action of swinging and stabbing, over and over as if trying to force her muscles to remember the feeling. Dean, Sam, Heaven, Hell and everything that came with it? None of that really mattered when she was wielding her stake.
While Rose tends to be very much in the zone when she trains, she manages not to physically jump when Helen’s voice cuts through her concentration, only a moment of disguised uncertainty in her head before a small, twitch of a smile touches her lips and Rose relaxes her fighting stance. (WS 25).]
Nah, it’s cool. [Swiping her hand across the sweat that beaded along her forehead.] I was just… Stabbing imaginary bad guys.
no subject
I just wanted to stop by and see how you were.
[Well, that's not all she wanted. But she wants to ease into the rest.]</small.
no subject
I'm alright? Better, ya know, now things are settling down. [She'd had a little time to stop, to deal, to grieve, at least in her own way.]

Pretty sure you can twist my arm. [The brunette saunters over to join her. Just don't mind the fact that she's covered in assorted buildingy dust - you can tell I know a lot about building shit.] Though you might'a had me at Think.

at the moment he's on the phone in the lobby, having just arrived.] Yeah, I know they're sold out. Don't you know a scalper? [a beat] Oh, shut your face. You don't know my life. Maybe I'm Rafael Giovanni's biggest fan ever. [another pause.] Whatever. Just see what you can do, all right? I really don't wanna have to do anything stupid.
[he cancels the call and looks up, realizing he... probably has an audience here and it's not the best one ever.] ...Hi.
no subject
Until now.
She probably would have just let it slide back into the jumble of her mind if his words hadn’t caught her attention, lines creasing her brow as she catches well, every part of his side of the conversation. (Lis 32 #dhampirproblems.)]
Hi… [Guarded as she takes him in. There were pretty much a thousand ways this conversation could go and instead, Rose falls into the least expected way.] What was that about Rafael? [Confusion twisting her features.]

[God thanks Des. Now all Rose is thinking about is if Raf really does have pointy ears. These will be her serious thoughts all day.]
