[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there.   There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

[He can't really go on, because he still doesn't know what those 'evil things' were. He just wants to believe that there was some kind of reason, because he wants to think he's not capable of anything that could truly be pure evil.

Then again, this other Sam might not be exactly like him at all.]

You don't. But what's more likely, Rose? That I'll latch on to these bad things and deliberately do them? Or that I'll avoid them like the plague because I'd rather have my brother not hate me? And if I'm not what I say I am? Then I already know and the whole thing is moot.

[He glances over at the shusher, giving them an apologetic glance.]

It's not your responsibility, anyway. I really did just want to help.

[Gesturing toward the computer.]

[Rose huffs out a breath of air through her nose and fine okay, he has a point, he makes a lot of sense and he almost always has but at the same time, any time she starts to think that maybe, there’s a chance that his intentions are nothing but pure? She feels like she’s betraying Dean in some way.]

I don’t know. [It’s about as honest an answer as he’s going to get out of her because she really has no idea. Plenty of scenarios swimming around in her head but nothing she’s actually sure of.]

Maybe not but, you say you care about Dean and that there’s nothing you wouldn’t do to help him? [Granted, she just does not get the whole brotherly bond.] Well I care about him too…

[Meaning, whether it is her responsibility or not, she feels like it is.

Considering him for another long moment, Rose exhales a shuddering breath.]

You wanna help me? [Lips pressed together.] Alright… see what you can find out about something called Shadowkissed.

[She never said she was going to let him help her with anything relating to Dean.]

Yeah, I know you do. I'm...trying not to push, I swear. And I get it. You're just looking out for him. I just...want you to see it from my side, too, even if it's hard.

[As for her responsibility, he only meant telling him what's up. That's on Dean. Or his own research...]

Shadowkissed? I haven't heard of anything like that before...

[That doesn't stop him, though, as he slides into the seat in front of the computer adjacent to her and starts typing at the keys.]

Anything you can tell me that might help me? It could be called something different over here.

[Rose pulls in a deep breath and slowly lets it out and rather than shoot her mouth off, she actually tries to explain herself in a way that... isn't her being a mouthy shit.]

You have plenty of people here seeing it from your side. [It's not an accusation but between Helen and what Dean had told her about Buffy? She figures they can't be the only two.] I'm just - making sure there's at least one person that's completely on his, however that plays out.

[Rose slides out of the way but remains in a position where she can watch him work, a tension carried in her shoulders, just in case Sam was under the misconception that she was relaxing for five minutes. (Sorry Sam ;;).]

Nobody seems to... [She hesitates a moment before continuing.] Try... side effects of being rezzed... [Shifting uncomfortably.]

[Sam just nods his head in understanding. He may have people who believe him, yes, but they're not Dean.

No one will ever be as important as his brother.]

I'm glad he has you.

[And he just leave it at that for now. He notices the tension in her, knows exactly what it means, but he's just...kind of used to it now, honestly. (spot 22)

His fingers start working at the keys, and he doesn't actually comment on the whole...rezzing thing, though he does glance briefly over at her with concern instead.]

[Just five words and yet no matter how Rose tries to twist them around, she can't help but have a sense that he really does mean that and after a long moment of silence, she nods, maybe just a little of the tension easing out of her and perhaps, even a brief flash of gratitude. (SM Nat 20 - Finally one pays off for Sam.)

She still catches the concern in his eyes (Spot 33) and embracing the blunt that is Rose Hathaway?]

Died once. [At least when she said that around here people didn't die of shock. Usually.]

A week or two later and he might have been able to say me too. But he probably wouldn't anyway, whoops.

Sam seems to grow more and more frustrated, fingers typing in a flurry at the keys, clicking the mouse here and there before he finally sits back in his chair.]

I'll keep looking, but from what I can tell, that term is literally non-existent here. As far as resurrection side effects go, it talks mostly about the toll it takes on the body, and how hard it is to get back any strength lost. [He glances at her.]] I take it whatever happened to you, it wasn't on this side of the Veil?

[If the subject of her aforementioned death is a sore one, it certainly doesn’t show, Rose lifting her shoulder in a shrug, her face a mask of indifference.]

Don’t be. [Just as flippant.] It didn’t stick. [The death part isn’t the thing that really bothers her.

When Sam comes up with nothing, she’s hardly surprised and yet she still can’t deny the disappointment, even if she manages to keep it well hidden. (WS 24). She is however aware that he’s not half-assing the search, that he’s trying things she never would have considered, what with her epic lack of computing skills. Rose struggles with email, The Knights version of Google is almost completely lost on her.

Given everything Dean had told her and the fact that Sam’s claims were still in doubt, Rose would have been smart to lie right now but oh look, her Winchester crit fail trend extends to this one as well. (Wis).]

Back home. [Exhaling a huff of air.] I can remember enough to know what it’s called but not enough to know how it works. [Or rather, how to get rid of it.] Figured it was a long shot.

[He commiserates with this so hard. It may not have taken very many of his memories, but it sure screwed up everything else.]

Like I said, I'll keep looking. Maybe if I poke around enough...there's always a chance that someone came through with the same thing, or will in the future.

Oh Sam. You don’t know the half of it… and you won’t today cause she nailed that Will Save. She eyes him for another long moment however, trying to decide what to say and what not to.]

I don’t need to know what it is, just how to get rid of it… If your poking gets you anywhere. [Though she seemed to doubt it would.]

[He realizes even talking to her is walking on eggshells.]

[Rose considers him for a painfully long moment like, that's something that requires some serious contemplation, lips pressed into a line, lines creasing her forehead and just as the silence is shifting into uncomfortable territory, she clears her throat and nods.]

You didn't. [So... It wasn't a thank you but combined with a lack of threatening bodily harm, it was getting close to one by Rose's standards.]
