[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there.   There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

[ in the last week or so of october, a new face can be found in the castle thanks to a successful rescue mission. well, a new face that looks fairly similar to an old face. especially when one of the places she can be found is in the firing range with a bow -- a compound bow instead of a longbow like vi's. she's a damn fine shot, but her pursed lipped irritation when using it and inclination to favor her katana or bokken in the training room may lead one to believe she's not exactly enamored with the bow regardless of her expertise with it.

(thanks, dad, you ruin everything.)

she may be small and slight, but she's great with her sword and doesn't seem to mind the pain and exertion. the healing angry red marks on her wrists from being tied up don't seem to bother her either. we got a tiny badass up in here, y'all.

when not working up a sweat, she can be found flouncing around the castle in impossibly high heels, chattering away in french over the phone to people she knows back in belgium, and running back and forth between the castle and the london office picking up the packages she has sent over so she can basically rebuild her wardrobe. she has slight edge to her, but she doesn't come off as unapproachable when she's not on the phone and she offers perfunctory smiles to the people at the desk, polite and a little less than soft. ]

[annnnd here's alex, checking up on the weird little teenager he helped rescue. not ... on purpose, he just happened to walk by her as she was finishing up a phone call and he was like what the hell.]

So, I take it you decided to stick around.

[ SHE'S NOT A TEENAGER, OLD MAN. ]

For now. At least I have some place to send my stuff.

[ homelessness would not be a good look on thea and she knows it, tossing her curls slightly, fingers lifting to fiddle with her necklace. ]

Get your pilot's license, yet?

Not yet. Why, wanna go on another ride with me?

I'll pencil it on my agenda for literally never again

Oh, come on, it wasn't that bad.

[ weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell. that's an accurate statement. but she doesn't care. :) ]

It really was. [ she turns to start walking in the direction alex was heading. ] Don't you have anything else to offer?

Is that your way of trying to hit me up for drugs or what?

I don't do drugs. [ she makes an annoyed face at him, nose wrinkled, expressing full of distaste. ]

[Eventually, at some point, Thea's sword will find it's way back to her. Not her files, because those were important and went to Wynn, but the sword wasn't. Cora just grabbed it because she feels like leaving it there with a mess of bodies was probably bad, and that Thea might want it back.

It's a few days after Thea decides to stay in the castle that it actually makes it to her though, mostly because it takes that much time for Cora to catch on to her sent and figure out that it's not just lingering from Alex taking her back here, but because she's actually staying (survival 17).

So here, Thea, have Cora just holding the sword out to her expectantly.]

You dropped this.

Thanks. [ she reaches forward to take it eagerly, lips lifting in a quiet, fond smile. she feels a little bit more whole with this in her hands. after a second of just holding it, she slides a bit of it free from its sheath to check on it before snapping it together again and looking up at cora. ]

[She shrugs, as though it's no big deal. If it was something of hers, she knows she'd want it back. She doesn't have a whole lot of possessions. She'll just jump right into the next topic of conversation.]

You're staying?

For now. [ she shrugs without much enthusiasm. ] My old job is no longer available, I can't go back to Bruges probably ever...

[She nods a bit before shrugging.]

It's not bad here. We help a lot of people.

[Not that she knows if that's a selling point for Thea, but it was for her.]

Plus, the people aren't bad.

I'm still on the fence about the second part. The first part I can vouch for personally.

[ since she was... tied to a chair. and cora helped her. ]

[Yep. First hand experience helped for Cora too.]

There are actually a lot less people around right now than there usually are. A lot of people are still on Andres helping with stuff.

[ she shrugs, reaching up to push her hair back from her face. ] Your exploits there are the biggest castle gossip. I don't even go here and I know more about Andres than I do about Bruges.

Hey, Vi. [Look, he just glanced out of the corner of his eye as he heads into the firing range to give himself a bit more practice with the projectile stuff. He's crap at hand to hand so he has to keep up in other areas.]

I thought you were still on And... you're not Vi.

No, I'm not. [ she looks at him askance as he approaches, eyebrows lifted in not disdain but something a little past annoyance. she's not used to being mistaken as someone else, alright? even when she was going by mia people didn't confuse her as someone else. ]

What the hell is a Vi?

A knight. A pretty cool one, so at least not a terrible case of mistaken identity. [He holds out a hand.] I'm Stiles.

Thea. [ she looks at his hand a second like what is that why are you doing that. but she takes his hand and shakes it briefly. ] Not a knight.

Squire? [Those are the only options that he is aware of.]
