[october 24-26 | the castle]

[On October 24, Malina Harvey turns 37. She's celebrating in the way she knows best - with booze and not working. Possibly dancing. She'll see where the night takes her. She flew back to the castle the night before, planning on just taking the weekend for her hangover herself, because after six months in Siberia, a war, and a looming bout of stupid from her best friend on the horizon, she deserves a weekend off of doing absolutely nothing.

On the actual day of, she and Gus find a London bar to drink in. She's dressed to kill (disguise 20 total), and can be seen chatting, laughing and occasionally flirting with whoever happens to come their way. As for the rest of the weekend, she sleeps until two the next day, fishes herself some ice cream out of the fridge, and can probably be found in various parts of the castle including:

The Dragon's Fire wing

The gardens sitting cross legged on a bench with her red-tailed hawk familiar, Harry at her side

The TV Room, watching terrible action movies

Feel free to interrupt her wherever you like. She does not mind being bothered.]

[ gus did not clean up as well because he's an ass (disguise 14), but he will claim it's because he doesn't want to distract from his bestie's birthday okay. the whole bar will love her by the time they're gone.

especially when he does shit like yell ] A round of shots on the birthday girl! [ and pass his credit card to the bartender. buying affection one shot at a time. ]

[She hums for a moment as she drums her fingers against the bar.]

How about Absolutely Screwed?

[That's more to the bartender than to him, just to be sure they can make it.]

[ the dice say yes and the bartender gets to it while gus snorts. ]

[Her eyebrows raise at that.]

There are these funny things called Mandarin oranges.

[She rolls her eyes before settling onto the stool next to him.]

Whatever. I still like it, and will choose to call it by it's name until told I can't.

[She leans into him a bit with a small smile before nodding.]

Thank you. I'm glad to actually be here to celebrate.

You woulda made it out fine. Pretty handy that you got hit with creepy ass monsters, since that's your niche.

[ so so calm about andres. he's had time to process the actual battle, because those are just missions. he hasn't processes thomas yet. ]

[She nods a bit at that, then makes a face.]

How the hell did I wind up with that niche? Aside from the obvious of Helen batting her eyelashes at me.

[She laughs.]

It does. [ the drinks come and he holds his up to toast his bestie. ] To way too many years of friendship and no cats.

[and she will clink her glass against his before knocking it back with a sigh.]

Happy birthday, babe. [ shots down, he leans over to hug her, kissing her hair. ] So what else is on the agenda this fine night? Getting shitfaced and fucking Alex again? Getting shitfaced and finding a nice Jewish boy for you to settle down with and prove world peace is possible? Or. Getting shitfaced and pizza.

Pizza. There should definitely be pizza.

[She gestures for another shot from the bartender before turning to face him.]

Though I am curious about that nice Jewish boy proposition.

HE'S JUST SAYING. but he pulls out his phone and pulls up grubhub to find a pizza place they can stop at. ]

I don't think he strikes me as the type to keep kosher.

Especially since sucking dick is the opposite of kosher. [ remember that time in college when they tried to figure out if blowjobs are halāl? good times. (they're neither halāl nor harām, fyi, if you were wondering.) ] I never said he was a good Jewish boy. What do you want on the pizza?

I'm not exactly a good Muslim girl either.

[She tips her head to the side for a moment, considering, before nodding.]

Let's stick with the classics and pepperoni for this one.

[ pepperoni it is, he orders it like a champ. ] We got twenty minutes. Pick it up on the way back?

[ which means twenty more minutes to drink. :) so he orders another round for the two of them. ]

[She nods with a grin as she resettles on the stool.]

Excellent plan.

[She takes her new drink and swirls it a bit in her hand.]

You know what we should also get? Cake.

I like your style, Harvey. [ he pulls out his wallet and thumbs through it, pulling out a handful of cash and flagging down the bartender. ] Hey, you! I will give you... $500 if you go out and buy my best girl a birthday cake right now.

[ the bartender is like wha??????????????????? but gus just keeps going like he's already said yes, turning back to malina. ] What kind do you want?

[She considers for a moment, drumming her fingers against the bar as she does.]
