[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there.   There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

[ which means twenty more minutes to drink. :) so he orders another round for the two of them. ]

[She nods with a grin as she resettles on the stool.]

[She takes her new drink and swirls it a bit in her hand.]

You know what we should also get? Cake.

I like your style, Harvey. [ he pulls out his wallet and thumbs through it, pulling out a handful of cash and flagging down the bartender. ] Hey, you! I will give you... $500 if you go out and buy my best girl a birthday cake right now.

[ the bartender is like wha??????????????????? but gus just keeps going like he's already said yes, turning back to malina. ] What kind do you want?

[She considers for a moment, drumming her fingers against the bar as she does.]

Marble. With chocolate icing.

[ he relays this to the bartender who is still in a state of ?????? but $500 is $500 and he relents and like, finds a bouncer to actually run the errand idk. stuff. gus is the best. ]

One marble cake with something, coming up.

Cake, booze and pizza. This is shaping up to be an excellent birthday.

[She is pleased. You have fulfilled your best friendly duty.]

I do what I can. [ and what he can right now is more drinking. so much drinking. ]

[Yep. Alllllll of the drinking. And maybe a little dancing once Malina is drunk enough because a song comes on and she perks up.]

[ he groans dramatically, like she is dragging him on to the dance floor, and... drags her on to the dance floor. with some okay results? (dance 10) ]

[Malina is doing better but she actually likes dancing and all that jazz so she's probably gotten better at managing it while she's drunk (dance 15).]

[ gus just doesn't know how to dance when he's not trying to get in someone's pants. so he doesn't know how to dance when it's with a lady. oh well. dance party! he's had enough alcohol to not give a shit what he looks like so long as malina is having a good time. ]

[Exactly. They're not trying to get into other people's pants tonight - or at least Malina's not. But all the same she's just gonna keep on dancing until the very confused bartender returns with her cake and she taps Gus on the shoulder none-to-gently.]

That's our cue!

Yes, cake! [ he's excited about cake! so he veers over to bar, dragging malina with him.

and... pays the bartender again. because he forgot. (wis crit fail) ]

[Yeah, Malina's wasn't much better (wisdom 3), so A+ job bartender, you just made a thousand bucks. Feel free to be dishonorable about it because it's Malina's birthday, so Gus should be spending an extravagant amount of money on her.

She is also just going to flip that cake box open right at the bar and break off a piece. Who cares about forks?]

[ yeah gus doesn't care about the forks either, scooping some frosting off with his finger. ]

[She grins as she takes another bite of her cake before nodding.]

Yeah. As far as birthdays go, it's been a pretty good one.

Good. Now come on, lets go get some pizza too.

[ and with that he will gather up the cake and off they will go to drink more and eat some fine delivery pizza. and maybe stop at an atm. c'est fin. ]
