[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there.   There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

Maybe, yeah. [Her grim expression enough to suggest she's serious about that.] That or the whole, parallel universe thing is a heap of crap and he's the original evil... not-twin?!

Welcome to my world. [Letting out a dark flutter of laughter as she shakes her head.] The more I try to figure out what's going on the more my head hurts.

Thanks, I will. [Managing a smile for Faith even as she tells her a boldfaced lie. (Bluff 31). As much as she appreciated the offer, there was no way Rose was going to drag Faith into this mess and run the risk of her getting hurt.]

But you're doing it. A break from which version of Sam!not!Sam am I dealing with today is never a bad thing. [Grin widening a little.] So come on, what's been going on with you?

Ohhh, just... boy stuff, I guess.

The kind of boy stuff you want to talk about, maybe?

Maybe. I don't know. It's dumb, probably.

Shut-up. [Not harsh just... Rose.] It's not dumb if it's bothering you. [A beat.] Do I need to hit somebody? Cause, I will ya know.

Nooo, nothing like that. There's just this ... guy, and I sort of thought we might have something. I mean we liked each other, a lot. But now he's dating someone else, out of nowhere.

[littledhampir]

Oh - [Confusion etched across her features. It says a lot about what Rose thinks of Faith when she can't understand why any guy would choose to date somebody else when they could have Faith.

Wis 17.] Did he know you were into him? Cause you know, in my experience... Guys are pretty stupid. [sorry Dean.] Maybe he thought you weren't that interested and he's just trying to make you jealous?

Well, we did sort of make out. That night, at the Silver Band? [ she bites her lip, shrugging ] But I mean... so did we, technically. Maybe he just thought it didn't mean anything.



... Plus, I sort of uh, accidentally made him do it. But it's not like he complained!

Yeaaah I made out with a lot of people that night. [Faith. Andie. Bo. Elena. Mars.]

Well, did he kiss you back? Cause if he kissed back, it's not like you forced his hand... or tongue as the case may be.

Well, you see, he's kind of... a genie?

And I kind of... wished he'd kiss me. So of course he kissed back.

[Rose is... not all that surprised by the Genie revelation because, well. Have you met half the ranks of the Knights?!]

And nothing says clear signals like wishing a Genie into making out with
you.

So? What happened after that? Has there been more kissage or were you guys doing that whole, not really acknowledging the fact that there are feelings, thing. [Rose might have learned a thing or two about that lately. JS.]

The night sort of took a turn when his dad showed up, and we never really talked about it afterward. But there had been sparkage, literally, ever since we met. And we still hung out all the time after that. I figured some day he was gonna make a move, but... guess he had someone else in mind.

[Rose is doing some mental math and well, that party was back in April (Wis 18) so either he wasn't interested, making him the dumbest person alive or...]

Maybe... that was the problem? You, waiting for him to make the move? Some people are kind of clueless when it comes to realizing that somebody is interested in them. [Pot. Kettle...] Even with the making out I mean it has kinda... been a while?

See, normally I would, I just--

[ she exhales, frustrated ] I'm not good at the relationship thing. Never have been. I mean, I thought I might have serious feelings for this guy, but if he had them for me then we'd get together and that'd be that... forever, right?

I'm not sure I'm ready for that. But it's not like I can expect him to wait around just because I don't know what I want or when I want it.

[littledhampir]

Who said anything about forever? [Eyes widening, Rose clearly surprised by that leap of logic.] I mean, [She lets out an almost bitter laugh.] - six months ago? I really thought that was me and Dimitri and then... Life happened and, Dean happened. You can't really plan for forever, you can only do what feels right and if it's meant to be, then it'll work out. If not? I figure it's better to regret what you do than to be left with what if.

[She was doing so well at making a whole lot of sense and doing it in a diplomatic way (Wis 17, Diplo 25) and then, she keeps talking.]

Take this boy of yours for example. If he's meant to be with this new chick then you reminding him of what he's missing out on by making out with him again won't change a thing... [Grinning a little, eyebrows raised.]

[ she raises her eyebrows back, surprised ] Pretty sure she'd hate my guts for that, though. And I know it all sounds extreme, it's just-- sometimes it sucks, knowing that I could have thousands of years ahead of me. I don't want to pick any one life and settle into it, you know? At least, not for a really long time. And I've never really been with anyone who that was an issue with before... None of them were going to live all that long compared to me anyway. But Jordan's a totally different story.

Probably. [She doesn't seem fazed by it.] But at least then you'd know for sure.

[Rose nods along, trying to wrap her head around it but it's so very much like her conversation with Helen. She doesn't get what it's like to be facing down a long life. She fully believes she'll die doing what she does..]

I don't really know what it's like to be facing down forever but... I do know you could die tomorrow. [It's not said in a way that's intended to be harsh, more like it's something Rose just accepts as fact.

I'm not saying you should find somebody to settle down with or anything but shit. When I go out I wanna know I didn't waste time holding back or, doing things the easy way, ya know?
