[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there.   There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

[It’s the opposite even, Rose thinks Elena doesn’t see anything wrong with what she did or at the very least, is determined to act as though that’s the case. Right now she’s just hoping like hell it’s the latter because if it’s not? Then there really is nothing left to say. It’s selfish perhaps, it’s Rose making it all about her but she feels used and the damage that caused… If Elena would have done it all again exactly the same way?]

What, you expected me to just have blind faith in you? To not wonder if he was screwing with your head? To not worry or at the very least, want answers? If you really thought I was ever going to just, sit back and wait and be okay with the way you did all this then – no. You don’t know me at all.

[None of this is said in anger because frankly, she just doesn’t have it in her to be angry anymore, she’s not sure she has it in her to feel much of anything right now.]

There wasn’t a thing I wouldn’t have done for you, had you just asked me but… you never gave me the chance. [She sounds hollow now, everything out on the table and it felt like she had nothing left inside of her, nothing more she can give or even take from this moment.] You wanted me to have faith in you Elena but you never had any in me…

[Rose takes a step back towards the door, again mopping at her face and while she wants to feel something, anything right now, it’s just this empty space where all the words that have spilled over had once belonged.]

You’re right though… Things are never going to be the same. [And if Elena doesn’t say anymore, Rose is going to walk away because she doesn’t know what else to say or do and right now it just feels like nothing can ever fix the damage that has been done.]

That's what you're suggesting I should have had in you, Rose. Blind faith. Neither of us had it.

[She didn't believe for a second that Rose would have helped her break him out, gone on a quest with her to Andres. Even if that's what she would have done, it would have been crazy, and Elena wasn't going to drag her into it. Worst case, she would have gotten ratted out to Wynn.

It would have taken blind faith to ask her.]

I wasn't going to drag anyone else into my mess, anyway. Faith or no.

So, that's it, then.

[That's all she's got, as her mask slips back into place. She knew perfectly well that this could happen with any of them when she left. She'd been willing to pay the price. That didn't mean it didn't hurt like hell.

Time to go hide in her room for awhile with a bottle of wine.]

Except you did, Elena. [Maybe she'd be able to understand some of it, some day. Maybe she'd be able to see why Elena didn't want to tell anyone what she was doing but Rose's hurt doesn't stem from the fact that Elena broke Kyp out.]

The moment you let him use my face to break out of here and involved my boyfriend, you dragged me right into your mess and you don't seem to even be sorry about it.

[She remembers her conversation with Dean on the plane, the question she wanted answered and she's not sure right now if she should even ask it, if Dean was right and whatever answer she got would do little to make her feel better.]

Just one thing... Did you even, stop for a minute and think about what that might do to me or, did it never even cross your mind?

[She hadn't wanted to be found. She'd made that perfectly clear in a letter that...apparently hadn't been shared with her.]

[No, she sure didn't read any letter but then again, a letter might not have changed much, not when it wasn't addressed to her.

Just when she'd thought she had no more anger left, she feels it surge through her body and the words come tumbling out before she can even think to stop them. (WS Crit Fail).]

Well too bad! You weren't supposed to treat our friendship like it was less than nothing so I guess we both suck at doing what we're supposed to do.

[It should be something, it should matter but Dean was right when he said neither answer was going to make it better.]

So you thought about it. [Nodding.] But it was easier for you to fuck with my life than it was to do the right thing.

[That was a very, narrow view of things but Rose wasn't really in a big picture frame of mind.]

Good to know. [Mask back in place (WS 23) as without a word, Rose turns her back on Elena and walks away.]
