[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there.   There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

[Des starts pacing, running a hand over his face and through his already mussed mess of hair.] Security is extremely tight after the concert that... [he swallows] after that one concert, otherwise I'd have no problems trying to sneak in.

Right... [Understanding flashing in her eyes. There'd been a lot of back and forth between her and Elena during Rafael's trial. Rose knows Rafael more as the guy who accidentally killed somebody than an international popstar. Go figure.]

A tour would take, a lot of planning though, right? [Wis Nat 20... IDEK.] So he's probably known that this was coming for a while? [Eyebrows raised.] And still... didn't mention it?

Burt and Isabella probably planned most of it behind his back. [he says it reflexively, a touch too defensive.] He might not have known. And I just... This is Rafael. He can't end anything without it being a dramatic ordeal.

Well... If Archer can solo storm the stage of a Keijen Blade concert without getting killed, surely you can get five minutes alone with Rafael somewhere between his shows.

Archer did what? [HOW MANY CLOSE ENCOUNTERS IS THAT GUY GONNA HAVE WITH BLADE???]

Keijen musical mind whammy. It's probably the only time anyone has been grateful that Archer carries a gun with only one bullet.

Jesus. That's the second fucking time that's happened to Archer. Blade might as well be doing a timeshare in his head.

[that's a terrifying thought.] I knew what happened after the concert, but I never got the whole story about what happened during. Everything else sorta eclipsed it.

And that would explain all the swearing afterwards... I think Archer is going to be seriously pissed if he doesn't get to shoot him in the face some day.

The concert kind of seemed like nothing after everything else. [What your brackets said pretty much.]

We got lucky. Spike missed out on the Blade-Whammy cause he was pining after Nadia and Keijen released Archer after I broke free from his control. [Look how Rose skips certain parts of the story.] Not before he tried to get us to kill ourselves though.

Speaking as someone who has shot him in the face, it's deeply emotionally satisfying... and coming from Archer, it'd be exactly the kind of humiliating death I'd wish on Blade. If he doesn't deliver a badly timed one-liner before landing the killing blow, there's no justice in the world.

[It would redeem Archer a good 30%. Des makes a face as she recounts the story.]

Thanks to that asshole I almost killed myself twice in one night. Believe me. If Archer gets to shoot him in the face? I wanna be there, even if I just have to settle for kicking his corpse after the fact.

I don't understand why he hasn't been stopped... I mean after New York? [Granted, there was no tangible proof but everyone was sure that he was involved somehow.] I mean I get it, he's powerful. Because he's backed by people with a lot of power in their corner and most people don't know how to deal with Shadowkind threats on his level. They're more content to think it was just a stupid fad thing, than actual mind control. And every time we go up against him, he putzes out like a coward the second he loses his edge.

Yeah. Hundreds of people dead over a stupid fad. [Rolling her eyes, the bitterness palpable.] You know, that's some serious self-hatred he has going on. I mean he's Shadowkind, killing Shadowkind. He should do us all a favor and throw him-self into the Hudson.

He's got a huge connection to a Drow god known for his superiority complex (wis 20 total). Pretty sure that keys into everything you ever wanted to know about Keijen Blade.

[Plus all that stuff he didn't want to hear from the people who also got visited by Blade the night before Vi's wedding.] Whatever the ultimate endgame is, he's getting something big out of it. Him and all the little Tiefling pop stars working with the Church

Nadia's always struck me as someone who'd get out if she could. She's scared, if anything. I haven't met the rest of 'em. Blade sorta eclipses 'em all and he keeps Nadia close, either because she's a flight risk or because he's got her on the ropes like he-
