[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of the first half of the month. Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

Also, following the promotion and squiring parties at the beginning of the month, Wynn will be taking any willing Knights back to Andres Isle to further reconstruction efforts there.   There's plenty to be done - and an election to gear up for, to find out who will rule Andres Isle!

[Much like the first time they met, Thoster finds Ava when she's with an animal friend. This time, though, it's a much larger one.]

Well, well- Looks like you're keeping the natives calm in your own way. Made a new friend, have you, lass?

[A smile brightens her whole face as Ava lays her eyes on Thoster, the mare in question tickling the palm of her hand as she greedily accepts her treat.]

I believe I have finally found a way to be of use. [There's a slight hint of mischief in her eyes, Ava fully aware the only use she is being is to the Mare, whom, having finished her carrot, is nuzzling her long hair in an attempt to get more out of her.] In... some small way at least.

[And in a way that is so very typical of Ava, she steps away from the mare to capture one of Thoster's hands between both of hers.]

I am very pleased to see that you are well. Was it terribly dangerous?

Oh, nothing I couldn't handle. [He says with a devilish sort of smile as she takes his hand. He steps in closer, as if to keep the conversation more private.]

If any blood I had to spill kept a pretty thing like you from seeing the battlefield, I'm happy to do it again and again.

You are very brave Sir Thoster and I for one am incredibly grateful. [Said with nothing but complete sincerity despite the slightly dramatic flair in which she delivers it.]

I would liked to have come, only... [She grimaces a little, dropping her voice.] If my attempts to be of use here are anything to go by, I think I might have only gotten in the way.

Now, now lass... we all have our strengths. Just because you might not have been as capable in battle as some does not mean your help would not have been accepted with open arms.

[delicere]

[The grimace stays in place as she tries to explain herself.] I seem to be having some difficulties with the, modern conveniences of this world. [Repeating those words like somebody has tried explaining it to her.

Rather animated now as she continues.] But there was nothing on those washing contraptions that warned red and white should not be washed together and I'm... not, terribly skilled in culinary arts.

But you can learn! I happen to be an excellent cook. [Sometimes.] I'd be happy to help.

[Excitement lights up her whole face, Ava gripping Thoster's hand tighter now.]

Would you? [He's her favorite okay.] I wouldn't want to keep you from your duties... [Except that she really would because she does hate being hopeless.]

A man has to eat, doesn't he? I can teach you while I cook for the both of us. [See? Perfect plan.]

I feel like I am the only one to truly benefit from this plan of yours. [Though if her expression is anything to go by, she's not complaining.] I shall have to do something for you some day.

[bluffcheck]

Well, I wouldn't say no to that. Have anything in mind, lass? [he just... flirts so much all the time forever.]

When I find something that I am good at, you will be the first to know! [It's not even self-deprecating humor. Ava has yet to rediscover herself this side of the veil and she's also a little too naive to even realize he's flirting. She just thinks he's luffly!.] Or if you should ever need anything, I'd be only too happy to offer my assistance... Provided it's not cooking. Or Cleaning. [Grimacing a little.]

I'll let you know if I'm ever in a bind I think you can solve. [He smiles wide at her.]
